5 Preface The International Contact Dermatitis Research Group (ICDRG) updated their standard series in Proposal for a revised international standard series of patch tests 1 ; 34 allergens/test preparations from three standard series from Europe (EECDRG), from USA (NACDG), and from Japan (JSDS) were compared. They were divided in a modified international standard series (20 allergens), and an extended international standard series and additional useful allergens (8+6, respectively). These 34 allergens/test preparations are reviewed in this booklet. To aid the reader, we provide an abbreviated exposure sheet which we hope will be of practical value. The editors welcome comments, additions, corrections, and suggestions for future editions. We would like to thank all our contributors for their excellent work. Jan E.
