2 Higher benefits and extra flexibility At Defence Health we re always looking for ways to improve and provide better value for you. From 1 October 2016 you ll receive more back in benefits when you claim on a range of extras treatment.

4 Plus extra flexibility Many members have told us they want greater flexibility from their extras cover. So we ve introduced a flexi-limit for some general treatment under your Value Extras. The flexi-limit applies to physio, chiro, osteopathy, exercise physiology, psychology, ante and postnatal services, speech and occupational therapy, audiology, podiatry and chiropody, eye therapy, dietitian, and pharmacy and travel vaccinations. With the new flexi-limit, you can claim more of your favourite treatment under a generous $1100 benefit limit. Please note that exercise physiology has moved from alternative therapies into the flexi-limit group.

5 How does the flexi-limit work? It s pretty simple. And very flexible. Your Value Extras flexi-limit and higher benefits kick off from 1 October. Only the listed treatment is included. Dental, optical, health and wellbeing and medical devices remain separate categories with their own limits. No change to your premiums or hospital cover (if you have it). Flexi-limit benefits will reset on 1 July each year along with most other extras benefits. The $1100 flexi-limit can be claimed across the range of flexi-treatment categories. Or just one of the categories. Everyone on a family policy gets their own flexi-limit for the treatment they prefer. Any claims you ve already made this year will be counted under your new flexi-limit. To check your limits login to Online Member Services at member.defencehealth.com.au Any more questions?
