MicroLoop The world s most advanced hand held Spirometer
MicroLoop A new generation Spirometer designed for the professional Developed for the professional, the new generation MicroLoop employs Micro Medical s acclaimed precision Gold Standard Digital Volume Transducer which is especially suited to measuring very low flow rates in patients with COPD. The MicroLoop has a class-leading, very high definition screen and can display both Volume/Time and complete Flow/Volume Loops (using either the open or closed loop test techniques).the instrument can measure MicroLoop Cat. No. ML3535 Features Text entry, enabling comment writing Internationally recognised on-screen test quality assurance prompts for poor test attempts (e.g. slow start, abrupt end etc.) Bronchodilator and/or steroid assessment Predicted value and language selection Body mass index and dyspnoea score calculation Child incentive animation up to 36 parameters and has a database storage capacity for over 1000 patients. Comprehensive A4 sized printouts are possible direct (via Hewlett Packard or Canon printers compatible models specified by Micro Medical). Offered as an option for MicroLoop is Spida 5, a powerful Spirometry PC software package. Available as an upgrade for Spida 5 is SpidaXpert, an advanced interpretation and diagnostic program for spirometry. Lung age assessment and texual result interpretation by ATS 8, BTS-NICE 9 or Enright 10 Fully customisable printout format Complete with all accessories in a sturdy carry case Optional Spida 5 spirometry PC software SpidaXpert interpretation and diagnostic upgrade available for Spida 5 Screen function keys A new child incentive graphical display is featured and an optional Text and number entry keys Airway Resistance measurement module is offered. A comprehensive range of advanced features normally only seen on more expensive laboratory based equipment are included in the MicroLoop (of which there are more than 10,000 units in use around the world). The new generation of portable precision Spirometers are here NOW! The original MicroLoop was selected ahead of all other Spirometers for use in the START study, the largest Asthma investigation into the early intervention of inhaled steroid therapy. DTI / BRITISH COAL RESPIRATORY DISEASE LITIGATION MicroLoop was the chosen spirometer by the DTI for screening and subsequent compensation claims of over 60,000 UK Coal Miners. Setting new standards i The new Gold Standard transd and flow measurements for yo Especially effective at low flow international standards for acc spirometers are the definitive Digital Volume Transducer S
Built-in internationally recognised test quality prompts 1. Open loop spirometry 6. Comprehensive results screen High visibility screen 2. Closed loop spirometry 7. Patient data entry screen Audio alarm Screen navigation keys 3. Relaxed inspiratory/expiratory Vital Capacity 8. Airway Resistance results screen (with optinal MicroRint module) Rechargeable battery Indicator light Product shown actual size 4. Simple parameter selection 9. Airway Resistance waveform (with optinal MicroRint module) ds in spirometry ansducer from Micro Medical gives you the most precise volume r your Asthma and COPD patients. lows, it complies with all current ATS and other recognised accuracy. This means that Micro Medical s world beating ive benchmark for accurate respiratory measurement - bar none. er Spirometers are NOT ALL THE SAME. 5. Easy system customisation
MicroRint A simple test to measure airway resistance Available for MicroLoop is the optional MicroRint module for the easy measurement of airway resistance. Micro Medical s unique design has taken a hitherto specialised measurement out of the pulmonary function laboratory and into the clinic or home. MicroRint enables airway resistance to be measured with the same ease as peak flow but without effort or technique from the patient.the subject simply breathes passively through a mouthpiece or facemask.the result is automatically computed and displayed against predicted normal values.the procedure that can be performed on neonates to adults, takes only a few minutes. Available as an option for the MicroRint module is Rida, a comprehensive database and analysis software package. MicroRint Module Cat. No. MRT6000 Features Rechargeable battery or mains usage Bacteriological viral filters to eliminate cross infection fears Predicted values with pre-and postbronchodilator analysis Configurable measurement methodology test memory with results printout direct to Canon or Hewlett Packard printers Optional Rida, database and analysis software In this method airway resistance is determined by a momentary interruption to flow (Q) in the airways. At this point alveolar pressure (Pa) equilibrates with the pressure in the airways and the mouth (PaO) and airway resistance (kpa/1/s) is calculated from PaO/Q (pressure/flow). Results using MicroRint correlate well with other airway resistance methods and with other measurements of lung function such as FEV1. To know more about MicroRint please visit
Spida 5 - SpidaXpert Fully searchable Patient Database Animated child incentive window Previous tests Best volume time curve Very user-friendly, advanced features Spida 5 is the highest quality advanced Spirometry software you can buy.the 32-bit package is simple to use and employs a state of the art multi-window, screen interface. Up to 41 Spirometry indices can be measured, previous test curves overlaid for comparison and both open and closed Flow/Volume Loop test techniques used. Three types of animated child incentive devices and the long term trending of patient results also feature Spida 5 can be easily linked to other patient journal or GP administration systems, occupational health systems or other medical databases. Spida 5 is compatible with Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me, XP and NT and will link to all Micro Medical Spirometers* Offered as an optional upgrade for Spida 5 is SpidaXpert a comprehensive, quality assurance, interpretation and diagnostic software program for spirometry.
