3 OPERATING PRECAUTIONS 1. Do not use in the presence of flammable anesthetics. 2. Do not use the device under the surrounding with high electromagnetic intensity. Do not use the device which liable to interfere by electromagnetic intensity beside phototherapy unit. 3. Direct sunlight and other irradiate source may effective the phototherapy and patient, do not position the phototherapy unit in direct sunlight or under other sources of radiant heat. 4. Do not use inflammable compound on phototherapy unit (such as antiseptic, detergent etc.). 5. Do not store any pharmaceuticals and injecta in irradiate area. 6. The phototherapy unit used with heat therapy device (such as infant incubator, radiant warmer, heat bed etc.), although make a little heat, but irradiate for a long time, still effective the temperature uniformity of heat therapy device, to make patient skin temperature increase. So, the operator should measure patient skin temperature regularly. ( We suggest one time every hour). 7. The phototherapy unit used with heat therapy device, had better make sour the heat therapy device in skin mode, or, accord with skin temperature measure result, suitable decrease the heat outlet set of heat therapy device 8. To make sour the safety and validity of phototherapy unit, please use spare part only supplied by our company, such as irradiate source. 9. The effective use life of phototherapy unit is 6 years. The device and accessories and package over effective life, will be make environmental damage if discard casually. 10. Direct irradiate will damage patient eyes, patient must gird eyeshade, to prevent patient suffer photoinduced keratitis or retinal heat damage etc. 11. During phototherapy, must use diaper or similar things cover patient genitalia, to prevent damage patient keratitis function. 12. During phototherapy, patient maybe hydropenia, paramedic should supplement water for patient timely. 13. During phototherapy, photoisomer of bilirubin maybe cause toxic effect. Such as, patient suffer diarrhea, ariboflavinosis, hemolysis or anaemia etc, the paramedic should reinforced monitoring. 14. It should measure bilirubin of patient regularly. 15. To avoid suffered dizzy, nausea, sand-blind etc, paramedic should not stay in irradiate area for a long time. Ⅰ

5 Section 1.General Description B200A Infant Phototherapy Unit suitable for phototherapy premature or infant jaundice. Many infants suffer from jaundice. It is estimated that more than 90% infants get jaundice to various extents. Jaundice may be either a physiological phenomenon (physiological jaundice) or a significant symptom to many diseases of infants (pathological jaundice). This pathological jaundice possibly leads to bilirubin brain disease (nucleus jaundice), and damages to infant s brain, which may cause death or serious aftereffect, Therefore, timely and effectively treatments must be carried out to pathological jaundice. Clinical experiments have confirmed that infant bilirubin can be treated through phototherapy. It bases on the fallowing theory: since the bilirubin absorbs the lights with lighting dissimilation, which causes the indirect bilirubin to be oxidized under the effect of blue light, became water-soluble, and be eliminated from human body through liver and gall and urine. The medical circle has already broadly approved that phototherapy can be adopted to treat infant pathological jaundice so the unit is necessary to every medical institute. Section 2. Features 1. Set the phototherapy unit in the middle of the glass mantle of infant incubator. 3. Connect one end of the power code with the plug on the back of the unit and another end with ~220V/50Hz power plug. 4. Cover the patient s eyes with cloth in case of injury. 5. Turn on power, start phototherapy. The timer starts at the same time. It could display total time if press total key. 6. Phototherapy saves total time automatically. 7. Press and hold on Total Key for 40 seconds, it will clear the total time to zero. The display screen will be flash if do not clear total time until 1000 hours. 2
