1 11th October 2017 Our ever changing garden When we returned to school after the holidays the children noticed the changes in our garden. Clara When I walked past the school yesterday with my Mum I notice that the garden had changed. The vegies have grown and the big tree looks beautiful. Everything has changed in the holidays. It s starting to get summer. Brooklyn The petals fall when it s autumn. Lewis Milla Lewis Alexa The trees have grown more stuff on them. The tree looks really beautiful with the blossom on it. The tree has grown flowers. Because it s spring, that s why. When it s spring the flowers grow. Flowers have grown in the fairy garden. The tree has white flowers. Before it had no leaves, it was bald well it had some leaves. Outcome 2: Children become socially responsible and show respect for the environment.
2 11th October 2017 Treasure Finding treasure has been a focus in the children s outdoor play recently. During drama with the children dressed as Pirates and went in search of treasure. Liam Scarlette Zoe Sophia Milla Harry What is treasure? Diamonds. Shiny. It s hard to find treasure. You can find it with a spade in the ground. If you dig it up and it dirty you have to wash it. The gnomes hide treasure so nobody can find it. Guess what I found a gold medal. If you don t want people to find you treasure you can hide it. You can t tell them where it is. Who finds treasure? Pirates. Pirates are baddies. Are Pirates baddies. Not all Pirates are baddies.
3 Brooklyn Henry Oscar There s a movie called Peter Pan. They find a treasure box and it s already full. Where would you find treasure? Maybe in a cave. The skull and crossbone on the Pirate flag is The Jolly Roger. It says don t go near here. Because there are Pirates there What does it mean to walk the plank? If the Pirates have done something naughty they have to walk the plank. And you might fall into the sharks. A plank is a flat piece of wood Outcome5: Children are effective communicators. Children express ideas and make meaning from a range of media
