3 Ultrasonic Scaling Equipment Desktop Ultrasonic Scaling Units (Cavitron, Magnetostrictive) The Cavitron brand has become synonymous with ultrasonic scaling. Dedicated to providing end to end solutions in dental hygiene, Cavitron products have continued to evolve to best serve your patients and practice. Features unique to Cavitron include Tap-On Technology; 360 wireless foot control; handpiece with swivel; and a unique diagnostic display. DENTSPLY offers a range of Cavitron magnetostrictive ultrasonic scalers to provide choice that best suits your needs, be it: a portable unit for mobility within the practice or from practice-to-practice; a combined scaling and air polishing system; an integrated unit that is either built-in or surface mounted onto the dental system. All 30K units are powered by the patented Sustained Performance System (SPS) technology, offering a constant balance between scaling efficiency and patient comfort by maintaining clinical power when the insert tip encounters tenacious deposits. This allows the clinician to effectively scale even at a decreased power setting such as the Blue Zone. The latest Cavitron Plus 30K magnetostrictive scaling units have been redesigned with ergonomics and performance in mind; incorporating the new and improved features including: Tap-On Technology; a Turbo mode; and an improved lavage control on the handpiece. Unique features of the Cavitron Plus and JET Plus Ultrasonic Scaling Units: 360 o Wireless Foot Control The wireless foot control eliminates cords making it less hazardous. It works from anywhere within three metres of the Cavitron base and can be activated from any side. Tap-On Technology Reduce leg and ankle pain associated with continued foot pedal usage by using the innovative Tap-On Technology.
