3 START WITH THE SAFETY OF RECIPROCATION File separation or breakage can result in serious complications and substantially lengthen the treatment time. The two main causes of file separation are cyclic and torsional fatigue in rotary movement. Proper file movement, like reciprocation, minimizes fatigue and leads to better, more predictable outcomes. RECIPROCATION Alternating between clockwise and counter-clockwise in adjustable degrees of rotation reduces the buildup of stress in both file and dentin. Reciprocation also helps to prevent file separation by reducing torsional stress and cyclic fatigue. FINISH WITH THE EFFICIENCY OF ROTATION With reciprocation movement, you don t have to worry about cyclic or torsional fatigue, but you may not be able to clean the canal as well as you could with rotary movement. 5 OVERVIEW Studies show that reciprocating motion reduces cyclic and torsional fatigue, while rotary movement removes debris more efficiently. Utilizing an endodontic system that allows reciprocation and rotary movements minimizes the risk of complications. CLINICIANS NEED A FILE SYSTEM THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH BOTH RECIPROCATION AND ROTARY Each Genius file is designed with a constant.04 taper to shape and clean the root canal system while preserving more tooth structure. They are compatible with both reciprocation and rotary movement. Genius files operate ideally in the 90 clockwise and 30 counter clockwise reciprocation movement provided by the Genius motor. This reciprocation movement not only reduces the risk of file fracture due to torsional and cyclic fatigue, but also creates a smooth path to the apical limit. After safely reaching the apical limit, Genius files can then be used in 360 rotation to better remove debris from the canal. AUTO REVERSE SETTINGS (ROTARY MODE) The Genius Endodontic Motor has three Auto Reverse settings to minimize the risk of file separation or breakage in rotary mode. Ergonomic handpiece When the adjustable torque limit has been reached, the motor can be adjusted to do one of the following: STP AR SAR Motor stops when torque limit is met. When the file reaches the set torque value, the motor will run in reverse until the motor has been stopped. When file reaches the set torque value, the motor will run in reverse until it has freed the file. The motor will then run in forward. Using an apex locator in combination with radiographic measurements can significantly increase your success rate in the endodontic treatments you provide. THE USE OF THE ENDO-EZE FIND APEX LOCATOR AVOIDS THE COMMON ISSUES OF OVERINSTRUMENTATION Overinstrumentation occurs in 51% of the premolar and 22% of the molar treatments. FIND apex locator eliminates the risk of overinstrumentation. Consequently patients do not suffer from painful experiences and swelling results. Users get the safety of avoiding additional costs, time-consuming emergency appointments and unhappy patients. Using a multifrequence-dependent impedance method and a series of proprietary algorithms, FIND accurately determines the position of the apical foramen. Although the radiograph is the most common method for determining the apical limit, it is not the most accurate one. FIND apex locator is the perfect addition to x-ray images and improves the status determination of the individual clinical situation.
