This reduces compression around the neck of the implant and prevents the Screw Tap and Implant Mount colliding with the crest of the bone. Screw Tap 2 The use of the Screw Tap is indicated in medium bone situations and mandatory in hard bone situations. This is to help ensure proper seating of the implant. When using the screw tap, refer to the depth marks that correspond with the relevant implant length. 4 Note: When the depth marking of the screw tap is aligned with the implant length, the apical portion of the osteotomy is not pre-tapped, allowing direct engagement with the tip of the implant. 4 Depth mark references for Screw Taps are also printed on the NobelParallel Conical Connection Surgery Kit.
