2 Direct Dyes Direct Dyes offer good economy and standard fastness for atmospheric dyeing of cotton and rayon fibers. Many of these dyes are also suitable for high-temperature dyeing of cotton/polyester blends. 3 High Lightfast Direct Dyes High Lightfast Direct Dyes are especially recommended where maximum light fastness is essential. These dyes are suitable for resin finishes and substantive aftertreatments which further increase their high fastness properties. Any resin treatment should be evaluated for potential shade change. 5 Vinyl Sulfone Reactive Dyes These high-performance vinyl sulfone dyes produce a wide range of shades with high wash fastness properties. They are usually dyed at medium temperatures (140 F/60 C) or by various padding or printing applications. As a group they provide excellent fastness to acid hydrolysis and are suitable for cellulosic and polyester/cellulosic blends. 6 Bi-Functional Reactive Dyes These multi-anchor dyes contain two reactive groups on the dye molecule. They can be combined with other Vinyl Sulfone Dyes to create bright fashion shades with excellent wash fastness. In addition, these dyes are more tolerant in the production environment than most traditional combinations. Their wide range of fixation temperatures allows greater flexibility in application procedures while still maintaining consistent reproducibility of shade. 7 Hot Reactive Dyes Hot Reactive Dyes are a special class of high exhaust monochlorotriazine dyes developed for high-temperature applications on cotton and rayon fibers.
