1 THIRD SECTOR INTERFACE NETWORK NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2017 LEADING EMPOWERMENT LOCALLY 25 OCTOBER 26 The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort, 1 St Andrews Drive, Cumbernauld, G68 0EW

2 Welcome to the TSI Network National Conference This year the focus is on Leading Empowerment Locally and the role of TSIs in enabling and supporting the empowerment of people and communities. Whether empowering people through volunteering, tackling social issues through enterprising third sector organisations, or connecting communities into local decision making the conference programme covers the broad range of work that the TSI network is involved in. Also included are explorations of how TSIs can make the most of their data, how third sector organisations can improve governance and the modern funding challenges for the organisations we support. At the heart of our work to empower people and communities is a human rights approach to tackling poverty and inequality. Our keynote speakers will provide perspectives on recent thinking and progress, and the seminars and workshops give us the chance to explore how we can further embed these across all our work. Conference is, as ever, your place to come together as a network and connect with each other. There are specific networking sessions and plenty of breaks and spaces across the programme for you to connect with your network wide colleagues and to introduce yourself to the exhibitors and workshop and seminar contributors. We hope you enjoy the conversations, debates and deliberations across the whole of conference and that they stimulate useful developments that we can all take forward into Join the #LeadingLocally
