It is truly another breakthrough in the Lifestyles Philippines history that we have opened Lifestyles Distributors Service Centers all over the country to better serve our Distributors and Customers," says Lucille Villa, Lifestyles Philippines General Manager. Beginning June 2007, Lifestyles Distributors Service Centers were opened in Baguio, Mindoro, Bacolod, Kalibo, Davao, Dipolog, Isabela and Butuan. Strategically located in different parts of the Philippines, Lifestyles is expected to improve its operations in the said areas. The presence of the DSCs will increase company awareness and visibility in each of the areas and Lifestyles phenomenal products are now more accessible to its consumers. Lifestyles products are widely consumed all throughout the Philippines and it has created a great demand in the market. With the opening of the Lifestyles DSCs, Lifestyles product and opportunity is now within reach! As part of the pre-launch activities, Lifestyles Business Units from corporate office went to each of the DSCs to provide support and training. Various activities such as mall campaigns, intra free tasting, motorcades and product and opportunity presentations were done in each of the DSCs that were opened. The opening ceremonies in each of the newly opened DSCs was spearheaded by Lifestyles Philippines General Manager, Lucille Villa. During its opening, the DSCs were flocked by Distributors together with their guests. There was an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. Distributors were very pleased saying it was a dream come true. In Baguio, several leaders in the likes of GMD Elmer Beltran, GMD Peng Mendoza and IMD Tintin Todino participated in the grand opening ceremonies. Also present were NMDs Mila Doydoy, Gary Concepcion, Bezer Pating and Lani David. In Bacolod, the group was spearheaded by GMD Eva Aradilos, NMD Pia Quisido and NMD Beth Mijares. The Butuan DSC opening was attended by corporate office and several Distributors from different parts of Mindanao. Landbank Account Number Banco de Oro Account Number

And finally in Mindoro, GMD Freddie Motos and GMD Peng Mendoza were among the guests of honor during the grand opening. It was truly a team effort for the corporate staff, the DSC Lifestyles leaders, and the Lifestyles Distributors. Setting up these DSCs were not easy but seeing how committed and dedicated our Distributors are, we can say that it is all worth it, says Lucille Villa. In Mindanao, two DSCs have been recently opened. The Davao DSC was opened with GMD Peng Mendoza and GMD Jun Igot as special guests. In the opening of the Dipolog DSC, GMD Elmer Beltran graced the celebration. Lifestyles Philippines top corporate staff were also present in both events. Two more DSCs are scheduled to be opened within Metro Manila: the Alabang DSC and Cainta DSC. More DSCs are soon to be opened in provincial areas heading into the last quarter of this year. With the Distributor Service Center in place in key areas all over the Philippines, Lifestyles becomes more visible and more accessible. 4 In the Know Answers to all of Lifestyles questions from Dr. Lee Know Question: Could you please tell me whether intra is safe for consumption by a nursing mother? Dr. Know: Yes, Intra is safe for breastfeeding women. Over 15 years breast feeding women have been consuming Intra all over the world and, we have not received any reports of any adverse effects. Most herbs in Intra are GRAS (generally recognized as safe) and are commonly used in cooking. When we cook with these herbs, they are used at lower levels to enhance flavour. Similarly, Intra was formulated on the principles of traditional botanical medicine, where many similarly-acting herbs are combined to create a therapeutic effect. However, because each individual herb is included at such a low dose, the risk of side-effects is essentially insignificant. This is why Intra is deemed safe for use by everyone. Question: I have an 8 year-old son. Can I give Intra to him? Dr. Know: That s an excellent and very important question. Since many of Lifestyles Distributors have children or grandchildren, it s important to know that while many nutritional supplements should not be given to children (unless prescribed by a healthcare professional), Intra is safe and has been enjoyed by children worldwide for many years. Although allergies to Intra are rare, it is a food product, and as such, a small minority of people may be allergic to one of the ingredients that make up the formula. We recommend that you begin with an initial daily dose between 2-5 ml to rule out any allergic reaction. As with any food product, if an allergy exists, the person should not take the product.subsequently, you can work up to a daily dose of ml for children under 5, and up to 30 ml for children over 5 years of age. Question: I recently read that a new study showed antioxidants may increase my risk of death. Is this true and should I stop taking Nutria? Dr. Know: That s an excellent question, and one I ve been asked countless times since this study was published. The study you re referring to is a recent meta-analysis of antioxidant studies that reported that some antioxidants may increase mortality (death) risk by up to 16%. However, this study is severely flawed and at worst, worthless and I will explain why. The biggest criticism of this study is that the pooled studies were too diverse to make any sense. The trials ranged from a three-month study of 109 elderly nursing home residents to a 12-year study of 22,071 male doctors. Also, the vitamin dosages varied significantly from study to study. 4
5 Other flaws include: The researchers started with 815 trials, then excluded 747 trials for several reasons, including 405 studies that had no mortality in the study groups. This means that the researchers only included studies where people actually died! The researchers do not seem to recognize that different dosages of supplements can have different effects. There is an immense difference between an RDI dose and therapeutic dose (which is usually only recommended short-term). Most of the trials included tested for secondary prevention looking at how a nutrient works in diseased populations instead of primary prevention studies in healthy populations. Many of the studies included only subjects already classified as suffering from certain diseases, then generalized the results to a healthy general population. Also, most people who took vitamin E took a synthetic version of one form of vitamin E, dl-alpha tocopherol, whereas there are 8 forms of natural vitamin E that includes alpha, beta, gamma, and delta tocopherols, as well as the corresponding tocotrienols. The main form of vitamin E (natural or synthetic) in nutritional supplements is alpha tocopherol but in fact, high doses of this form has been shown to decrease the body s concentration of many other more powerful forms of vitamin E such as gamma tocopherol and gamma tocotrienol. There are also many forms of carotenoids, and taking a high dose of a single carotenoid, such as beta carotene by itself, is not the answer. However, what s most troubling is that people who are safely and beneficially taking vitamins might stop, which may actually put their health at greater risk since a wealth of epidemiological evidence has linked dietary antioxidant intake to reduced risk of a wide-range of diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Keep in mind that if a true mortality risk had been apparent in any of these clinical studies using antioxidants, the study would have been halted but none were. If you do plan to take antioxidant supplements, be sure to take products like Nutria, which have a wide range of nutrients in low amounts as opposed to just 1 or 2 in high dosages. I can say with confidence that taking megadoses of a single antioxidant is not a good choice. For my full response to this study, please read the article on the Live Better Every Day Institute s website, now you re In the Know! Dr. Lee Know, BSc, ND 5
6 TRUST, FAITH AND A BURNING DESIRE... How Strong Belief, Hard Work, And Intra set a record. NMD Haris Bin Yahaya, Malaysia Trust, faith, and a burning desire. These are the three keys to my success. Having founded two successful sporting clubs that I still run today, the Millennium Pro Cycle Club and Circle of Love Club, I have gained a tremendous amount of support from club members. More recently, but just as importantly, I have also gained the support of Intra, which helps me keep up with our clubs younger members and has provided me with renewed strength and the ability to maintain a healthy body. Over the years, I have learned that in the fast-paced world of extreme sports, keeping up can be increasingly difficult. The changes in my ability to compete after starting to use Intra did not go unnoticed. Club members saw this improvement immediately began consuming Intra to boost their health and well being. They also started becoming more active in the marketing side of Lifestyle products. Club members believe in me. They also believe in the goodness of Intra. This bond we share along with our uncompromising desire to succeed helped me reach the level of National Marketing Director in record time (NMD) of my initial membership registration! My sincere hope is that the phenomenal success I have enjoyed from taking and marketing Intra will serve as an inspiration to others in their quest to succeed. I have always believed that if you maintain your desire to succeed and create a plan to get there, you can achieve any objective. I d like to again everyone who has supported me along the way and to wish you all a healthy lifestyle. Interview of NMD Haris Bin Yahaya By Winson Ong, General Manager, Malaysia Q: Tell us more about Millennium Pro Cycle Club. A: The Millennium Pro Cycle Club promotes cycling. I established the club over 10 years ago and I am still the club s President. We have over 400 members today, and are based in Kajang Selangor. Monthly activities are organized at both the local and international levels. Q: Tell us about the Circle of Love Club. A: The Circle of Love Club is the most active bowling club in Malaysia. I founded the club, which today has approximately 500 members, and I continue to act as the club s President. Q: How did you learn about Intra and Lifestyles? A: I have a friend who owns a sauna outlet. He persuaded me to try Intra. He was very persistent because I rejected him many times. I told him repeatedly that I did not believe I would benefit from Intra. In the end I purchased a bottle of Intra just to please him. While drinking that first bottle of Intra I was completely shocked when I began to feel the difference! I outpaced many young cyclists in a 150-kilometre endurance event, and people soon began asking me about my secret! I was so confident in the benefits of Intra, I quickly purchased a Premier Pack and gave away all 30 bottles in that Premier Pack to my clubs key members to set an example. The results speak for themselves! Everyone who tried Intra felt the difference. We now know that Intra provides a clear benefit when competing in the demanding sport of cycling. Q: What are your plans now that so many of your members are already in Lifestyles? A: There are today over 90 Premier Pack purchasers in my group. I have now enlisted the help of my up-line, International Marketing Director (IMD) Encik M. Taib, who has agreed to help train my group. Q: How did you manage to achieve the position of NMD in such a short record time? What s your secret? A: It s simple. Make yourself a model. If I can do it, you can too. Show everyone how to maintain good health and earn some extra money. That s what Intra and Lifestyles offers. 6
7 FORGET IT AND GO ON...a realistic premise to live by. FIGO, when practiced in doing this business, is a very powerful positive attitude towards anything and everything that will affect the way we see ourselves, the way we see life around us, the way we relate to people, the way we build relationships with others, the way we focus on our success, the way we accept failure & disappointments, the way we turn problems into blessings, and the way we value this business. FIGO doesn't mean forgetting; FIGO is moving on AND learning the lesson. Learn from the punches. Go to sleep. Tomorrow is another day. It could be about our expectations. Suppose we scheduled an all-important appointment with our would-be qualifying frontline. Then all of a sudden, the person changed his mind and just told us that he is not putting in the order and will have to think about it further. FIGO & learn the lesson! It could be on our feelings towards other people. Suppose our upline, with the intention of helping us do better in this business, said something that unknowingly hurt our ever-sensitive feelings. Instead of feeling bad and figuring out who hurt who, just FIGO and learn the lesson! It could be on our personal relationships with families and friends. When we started with this business, the first people we thought who will support us in our quest for personal & financial freedom is our family and friends. But to our disappointment, they were the first ones to feel negative on "what we have gotten ourselves into." They were the first ones to tell us to stop what we are doing and to get out. What do we do? Do we just do what they are saying or do we follow our own heart on what we believe will give us a future we deserve? FIGO and learn the lesson. One day, they will learn the lesson, too. FIGO is about surviving trials, challenges, disappointments and failures. Each of us has to have the tenacity. Nobody goes through life without making mistakes and suffering disappointments. You know what, the more successful people had all the privilege to experience both. They get off the floor when they have been knocked down, and they learn from the set-back and disappointment. FIGO is not an excuse. FIGO is all about attitude and this attitude will determine what kind of person we become. Why We do What We Do "You have not lived successfully unless you have done something good for someone who can never repay you. John Bunyan The passion in what we are doing comes from knowing why we do what we do, why we are here, why we are who we are to others. That passion starts from understanding, that despite the cultural differences, there is a common Mission that binds us all. This Mission is the bigger picture of what we are doing is all about-- this is the bigger purpose that translates into better lives of people which make us feel thankful we are part of it. The experience of working with our distributors makes one emotional about the Lifestyles products and Lifestyles opportunity. We see the look of hope in people's eyes. We become instrumental in creating that spark of 'determination to make people believe in their dreams again. We are touched whenever we see the tears of thanks from people that our Lifestyles products have touched. Experiencing these make us understand w h a t L i f e s t y l e s i s a l l a b o u t. Experiencing these make us aware of the real purpose why we are there with the people -- we understand more who we are and who we can be for them. We have to believe that WE CAN BE and that WE ARE instrumental in helping people uplift their spirit to believe--- we want them to believe in themselves. In the same process, we want them to believe that Lifestyles is there for them and that Lifestyles is a venue for them to achieve their dreams of good health and financial stability. We have to believe how we can touch others' lives. We have to believe that we are doing things for others not just because we have to do them; we do them because we believe that is who we are. By doing what we do with passion for the common Vision and Mission of this company, we BECOME THAT PERSON who only has positive intentions to do positive actions to achieve positive results for e v e r y o n e w h o b e l i e v e s i n LIFESTYLES. 7
