Check for contact lenses and remove if present and easy to do. Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes and consult an eye physician immediately. Chemical burns must be treated promptly by a physician. Inhalation Skin contact Ingestion Protection of first aiders Seek medical attention immediately. Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If not breathing perform artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask and contact the emergency services. Seek medical attention immediately. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes and flush contaminated skin with plenty of water. Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes. Chemical burns must be treated promptly by a physician. Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly before reuse. Seek medical attention immediately. Wash out mouth with water. Remove dentures if any. Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If material has been swallowed and the exposed person is conscious, give small quantities of water to drink. Stop if the exposed person feels sick as vomiting may be dangerous. Do NOT induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs. Chemical burns must be treated promptly by a physician. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If unconscious, place in recovery position and contact the emergency services. Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband. No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. The rescuer should wear the appropriate PPE and follow all precautions to protect themselves and prevent contamination. 4.2 Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed Potential acute health effects Eye contact Corrosive to eyes. Causes burns. Inhalation Skin contact Ingestion Overexposure signs /symptoms Eye contact Very toxic by inhalation. Contact poison treatment specialist immediately if large quantities have been ingested or inhaled. Specific treatments No specific treatment. SECTION 5. FIREFIGHTING MEASURES 5.1 Extinguishing media Suitable extinguishing media Unsuitable extinguishing media Use dry chemical powder. Do not use water jet. 5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture Hazards from the Contact with combustible material may cause fire. Fine dust clouds substance or mixture may form explosive mixtures with air. This material increases the risk of fire and may aid combustion. Hazardous thermal decomposition products 5.3 Advice for firefighters Special protective actions for firefighters Decomposition products may include the following materials: sulphur oxides halogenated compounds chlorine dioxide gas Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the vicinity of the incident if there is a fire. No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Move containers from fire area if this can be done without risk. Use water spray to keep fireexposed containers cool. This material is very toxic to aquatic organisms. Fire water contaminated with this material must be contained and prevented from being discharged to any waterway, sewer or drain. Date of issue/revision: 06/12/16 5 of 17

6 SECTION 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES 6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures For nonemergency personnel For emergency responders No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Evacuate surrounding areas. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Do not touch or walk through spilt material. Shut off all ignition sources. No flares, smoking or flames in hazard area. Do not breathe dust. Provide adequate ventilation. Wear appropriate respirator when ventilation is inadequate. Put on appropriate personal protective equipment. If specialised clothing is required to deal with the spillage, take note of any information in Section 8 on suitable and unsuitable materials. See also Section 8 for additional information on hygiene measures. 6.2 Environmental precautions Avoid dispersal of spilt material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers. Inform the relevant authorities if the product has caused environmental pollution (sewers, waterways, soil or air). Water polluting material. May be harmful to the environment if released in large quantities. 6.3 Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up Small spill Less than 5 sachets. Wear gloves and eye safety wear as outlined in section 8. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Move containers from spill area. Sweep up material and place in a designated, labelled waste container. Place spilt material in an appropriate container for disposal. Do not use combustible absorbents, e.g. paper towels or saw dust to absorb spillages. Large spill For largescale spills of the powder ensure full personal protective equipment is worn. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Move containers from spill area. If unopened sachets are spilt these can be replaced in the container if undamaged and dry. Do not attempt to neutralise the spillage with acids. Avoid allowing the spilled material to get wet or using water to clean up spillages or residues, unless the quantity remaining is very small. Sweep up material and place in a designated, labelled waste container. Avoid creating dusty conditions and prevent wind dispersal. Do not use combustible absorbents, e.g. paper towels or saw dust to absorb spillages. Dispose of via a licensed waste disposal contractor. Note: see section 1 for emergency contact information and section 13 for waste disposal. 6.4 Reference to other sections See Section 1 for emergency contact information. See Section 8 for information on appropriate personal protective equipment. See Section 13 for additional waste treatment information. Date of issue/revision: 06/12/16 6 of 17
