2 1. OS-CAST As a cast for orthopedic surgery, OS-CAST is a functional product to immobilize an injured area after fractures, surgery or injury. Features of OS-CAST 1. Easy to destroy by fire as it doesn t contain fiberglass How to apply and instructions 1. Wear medical gloves after preparation of the product. 2. Wear padding or OS MEDICAL protector before cutting a cast plaster for skin protection. 3. Open the package of OS CAST. Soak it into water at room temperature for around 5~10 seconds and then squeeze it lightly. 4. At this time, since its curing speed depends on the water temperature, adjust the water temperature according to the season. 5. Adjust the tension of the tape and roll the tape around the fractured area spirally with a half or two-thirds of the width layered. 6. Roll the cast material spirally on the normal area in 3~4 layers, the splint area in 4~5 layers 7. After applying the cast, mold the surface or surface finish neatly in a desired shape lest it should get loose. 8. It, especially, can be applied flexibly fit to the curves of any injured areas so that patients feel more comfortable in wearing the cast. BS-CAST is produced by impregnating elastic polyester knit fabric with hydraulic poly urethane resin and making them hard in reacting with moisture. It protects an injured bone, muscle, ligament and etc and gives you quick healing if you put it around a fractured or sprained area, or a dislocated joint like wearing your socks. Choose the proper size of the product in accordance with a patient s height and an injured part. How to apply 1. Wear medical or vinyl gloves before applying the product 2. Put the proper size of skin protector on the injured area 3. Open the BS-CAST rolled in the shape of a donut. Soak it into the room temperature water for around 4~5 second, and then squeeze it lightly. 4. Apply it on the skin protector of a patient 5. Fold the both ends of the skin protector over the cast and finish it neatly. 6. Mold the cast by the palm evenly and wait for around 3 minutes until the cast mold surface sets in the position that a doctor want.
