4 NORMAL EYE Light rays are directed through the cornea, the lens, and then are projected onto the retina at the back of the eye. You can see clearly at all distances. 4

5 REFRACTIVE ERRORS, NEARSIGHTEDNESS(myopia) The cornea and lens bend incoming light rays so they focus in front of the retina. Distant objects appear blurred. 5

7 REFRACTIVE ERRORS, Astigmatism The eye does not focus light evenly. You get more than one focus and the lights do not get together on one point. Objects appear distorted at all distances. 7

13 RISK AND SIDE EFFECTS Like any other surgery, Z-LASIK can have certain risks and side effects. However, they are minimal and occur very rarely.
