Naturalistic- real-life situations such as a classroom or shopping malls for surveys and interviews Quantitative methods- Methods can be used to ask specific questions in numerical sense (how much, how long, ect.) Demand-Withdraw- Interaction pattern (when one partner tries to change their partner)

8 Week Two Instruction Page 8 Chapter Two: The Critical Approach 3:13 PM The Critical Approach is used to not only understand human behavior but to change society In order to reach the ultimate goal of changing society, critical researches believe that one must understand the societal forces that shape how people come into contact and communicate. This approach attempts to reveal the complexities of a culture and the ways that people actively participate in their culture and resist its powerful influences Textual analysis- a method of analyzing cultural products (TV, Media, ect.)
