12 Advising Every student is assigned an advisor in the Psychology Department. Set up an appointment to meet with your advisor at least once a semester. Advisors help students stay on track with their course selections and also offer advice on conducting research, internships, and life after graduation in terms of finding a job and/or applying to graduate school. Because the Psychology Department has a large number of majors, we also offer drop-in advising sessions. Once each semester, students can attend announced drop-in advising sessions where they can meet with a faculty member in the Psychology Department to get signed up for the next semester s courses.
