The scheme has been modified vide O.M.No.F.342/81/2003/H&FW/3264 Dated dated and dated For this purpose, the Directorate of Health Services is providing Health cards to all the Delhi Government Departments/Offices on receiving their requirement. The cards are issued to the employees/pensioners by the respective offices, which entitles them to free treatment in dispensary/hospital of Govt. of Delhi and facilities in recognized private hospitals as per provisions of scheme. In case of non-availability of medicines in the attached dispensary/hospital, the employee is entitled to reimbursement of the cost of the medicines. Some private hospitals have also been empanelled under the scheme for providing treatment/diagnostic facilities, where a beneficiary can go after referral from Authorised Medical Attendant in Non-emergency/routine cases and may also approach these hospitals directly in case of emergency. The hospitals/diagnostic centres provide treatment/diagnostic facility to beneficiaries at CGHS approved rates and also provide credit facility to beneficiaries during emergency condition to cad holders. In case of pensioners, they can avail of the benefit if they make a lump sum payment which is equivalent to their subscription for ten years i.e. 120 months. The terms and conditions relating to medical attendance/medical reimbursements etc. shall be as under: INSTITUITIONS FOR MEDICAL ATTENDANCE/ TREATMENT

2 i. All health facilities (hospitals/dispensaries) run by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi and autonomous bodies under Delhi Government, local bodies viz. MCD, NDMC, Delhi Cantonment Board, Central Government and other Government bodies [such as AIIMS, Patel Chest Institute (University of Delhi) etc.] are recognized under the scheme. In addition, some Private Hospitals/Diagnostic centers notified from time to time are also recognized/ empanelled as referral health facilities. ii. The list of private recognized hospitals/diagnostic centers recognized in Delhi has been displayed on this web page. Any changes in the list shall be notified from time to time. iii. Beneficiaries residing in NCR areas outside Delhi are allowed to get treatment even during non-emergent conditions from Government Institutions and CGHS recognized centers after referral from Government institutions in concerned areas or in Delhi as per provisions of the scheme. iv. Private recognized hospitals/diagnostic centers in NCR region outside Delhi for beneficiaries residing in these areas would be same as for CGHS beneficiaries as notified by CGHS from time to time. 2. REFERRING AUTHORITY/AUTHORIZED MEDICAL ATTENDANT i. The Authorized Medical Attendant (AMA) for referral purposes will be the CMO/MO I/C of the dispensary/hospital to which the beneficiary is attached. ii. The beneficiary will have the option of availing facility of treatment/diagnostic procedures etc. in a recognized institution of his /her choice, as are being allowed for the CGHS beneficiaries. iii. In emergency conditions the beneficiary can go to any of the recognized institutions of his/her choice, directly, without being formally referred by AMA. 3. PERMISSION FROM COMPETENT AUTHORITY No prior permission is required to undergo medical treatment Government health facilities/institutions under Delhi Government, its autonomous bodies and those under local bodies (viz. MCD, NDMC and Delhi Cantonment Board), Central Govt. etc. as per CS (MA) rules. In non-emergent/routine cases for getting treatment/diagnostic facility from the recognized private hospitals/diagnostic centres, referral /authorisation of Authorised Medical Attendant (AMA) of attached dispensary is required. However, during

3 emergency the patient can directly approach the empanelled/recognized hospitals. 4. MEMBERSHIP OF THE SCHEME The membership of scheme is compulsory for all employees. However, for the time being, the membership of the scheme will be continued to be OPTIONAL, for pensioners, till further orders. The rate of monthly contribution Delhi Government Employees/ Pensioners Health Scheme have been revised according to Pay range/pension/family pension and the corresponding contribution required for DGEHS beneficiaries is as under: - S.No. Basic Pay Plus Dearness Pay Or Basic Subscription Pension Plus Dearness Pension 1 Up to Rs Rs.15 2 Rs to 6000 Rs.30 3 Rs to Rs.50 4 Rs to Rs.75 5 Rs & above Rs.100 The above rates of contribution will be effective with effect from A lump sum payment of 120 months (10 years) membership contribution by the pensioners (as per eligible category) will enable them to avail such medical facilities for life long with perspective effect. For employees, the subscription is deducted from their salaries by the concerned office. In case of pensioners, the subscription can be deposited by the pensioners as lump sum equal to 120-month subscription to avail life long benefits under the scheme for the pensioners. 5. FIXED MEDICAL ALLOWANCE Fixed medical allowance will be granted as per CGHS rule, (at present being Rs. 100/-pm) to the retired persons/pensioners, residing in areas not covered by the scheme Fixed medical allowance will also be granted to retired persons only, residing in the areas covered by the scheme, but who do not opt to become member of the scheme.
