Her research interests mainly focus on (1) drug dependence epidemiology and (2) neurodevelopmenetal disorders in childhood. Dr. Chen s current research projects include (1) epidemiology of child and adolescent psychomedication utilization in Taiwan (Primary Projects of NHRI); and (2) the emergence and transition of alcohol experiences in the context of peers and activities (the NSC Project). Research Activities & Accomplishment 1

2 In the past five years, Dr. Chen has been productive in the areas of research on adolescent drug use behaviors and problems. As demonstrated by a number of scientific articles published in several peer-reviewed journals on substance use and public health, one official report published by the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA), and two book chapters. Her work has appeared in Addiction, American Journal of Epidemiology, American Journal of Public Health, Pediatrics, Journal of Pediatrics, among others.
