CENTRE DIRECT AT AGLANCE Centre DIRECT is one of the leading organization s of Bihar. We are working in the seven districts of Bihar I.e. Patna, Bhojpur, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Sitamarhi, Sheohar & Arariya in Collaboration with UNICEF, Geneva Global,Directorate of Prosecution Govt. of Bihar, Urban Development Dept. Govt. of Bihar & Dept.of Welfare Govt. of Bihar ICDS Directorate Patna. These above mentioned collaboration is mainly for the welfare of women & children. Since its inception it has worked solely for women empowerment through various means. We have touched several milestones and are trying our best to touch the untouched ones. VISION OF Centre DIRECT Centre DIRECT envisages empowered women, adolescent, children & youth who can contribute in the development of the nation. Centre DIRECT envisages an organisation and just society where empowered women, adolescents & youth live healthy life. Centre DIRECT envisages an organization for diffusion of useful knowledge with emphasis on human resource and social development.
4 MISSION /GOAL OF Centre DIRECT To enhance womens, adolescents & youth social status by empowering them to gain control over their own health and development concerns. STRATEGY OF Centre DIRECT To support and strengthen the capacities to implement and manage effective health and development programmes by providing capacity building training, education and vocational training. ACTIVITIES OF Centre DIRECT Focus on awareness raising sensitizing the community, capacity building, developing and disseminating education, training, advocacy issues related with women, adolescent & youth through SHGs Our organizations work has changed lives of rural women and adolescent girls specially to the youth. We have formed a large number of Self Help groups and it has changed their lives. Now they are self dependent, they are engaged in employment activities. Age of marriage of girls in the areas in which we are working is increased. At some places girls has refused for marriage. Organisation has formed a large numbers of self Help Groups in each of our working areas. Women & youth are demanding to ensure education and health for their children. Centre DIRECT PROGRAMME IMPACTS Women & youth have become self dependent. Women & youth are being engaged in income generation activities. Self confidence has increased among the women. Participation of women in Gram Sabha and they are demanding to organize gramsabha regularly. Many women got elected in panchayat election. Women & youth PRI s are taking interest in their work.

To contribute to the reduction of HIV/AIDS incidence among injecting drugs users, their partners and families and reduce the pool of infection in Patna which will signification create a positive impact on overall reduction of HIV prevalence rate. The activities was carried out using slandered checklist and carried out the monitoring activities for 7 days that was one day of training 2 days prior to round as preparatory activities and 4 days during VAS round as Monitoring day wise. VA coverage and SOP followed during VA administration by front line workers. To enhance and building the prosecution officials towards strengthening the response of the criminal justice system on human trafficking and to facilitating access to justice for victim of trafficking and vulnerable population. To organize and empower community in slum and enable them to work with slums improvement, sustainable livelihood, social development and municipal reforms in Sitamarhi urban Slum under supported of DFID.
8 17 Care & Support Centre (Vihan Project) Plan India Care, Support & Treatment (CST) is an integral component of the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP). Under the National AIDS Control Programme Phase - II, 122 Community Care Centres (CCCs) were set up to provide treatment for minor opportunistic infections (OIs), side effects of antiretroviral therapy (ART) and to provide psychosocial support through sustained counselling. CCCs were intended to function as a bridge between hospital and homebased care. 18 Chouraha Aangan Trust, Mumbai Aangan Will provide the programmatic inputs, training methodology, tools materials and technical support to assist Centre DIRECT implementing the Chauraha, PACT programme in Raghunathpur community in Muzaffarpur District in Bihar. 19 Urban Health Centre (NRHM) State Health Society, Bihar Urban Primary Health Centre should address the health needs of the urban poor, Unorganized Workers, including both in Notified and non-notified slums.
