2 Background The first Testing Week was launched by HIV in Europe in 2013 increase testing efforts and awareness in Europe. In 2015, hepatitis was added as a key focus disease Testing week takes place during the last week of November in 2017 with 640 participating organisations Offers partners across Europe the opportunity to unite to increase awareness and communicate the benefits of testing and reduce late diagnosis Provides a public platform on social media for participating partners to interact and create awareness on the international level
3 Why should you sign up for Testing Week? Provides an opportunity to participate in a widespread European awareness campaign Partners across Europe stand united in creating awareness for increased access to testing

5 How to get involved in European Testing Week During ETW, partners organise their own local activities which can include: Testing activities Awareness raising and/or advocacy initiatives Engaging with HIV/HBV/HCV ambassadors or celebrities Training/capacity building Media campaigns, etc. Many partners also target their activities to increase testing efforts for key groups such as MSM, PWID, sex workers, migrants, etc.

13 ETW Evaluation All participants are asked to complete a post-etw online evaluation survey 81 multiple choice and free text questions. Indicators include: Types of activities (testing, awareness raising etc) Targeted key groups Details on testing activities (types of tests, increase in testing, linkage to care) Use of social media Satisfaction with ETW Barriers or challenges experienced.

18 ETW Evaluation, COBATEST and INTEGRATE JA
19 INTEGRATE Joint Action INTEGRATE JA Aim: To increase integrated early diagnosis and linkage to prevention and care of HIV, viral hepatitis, TB and STIs in EU Member States by Offers a platform to share best practices among Member States and discuss innovations and emerging issues within these four diseases Existing tools for prevention, testing and linkage to care for HIV, viral hepatitis, TB and STIs will be evaluated, adapted, extended and implemented for one or more of the four diseases in selected pilot countries
20 INTEGRATE Work Package 6 Objective 1: To identify indicators and adapt existing data collection/m&e tools (COBATEST) to assess the impact of European Testing Week related to HIV, viral hepatitis, and STIs and linkage to care Plan: To use lessons learned from existing M&E tools (from ETW and COBATEST) to improve how ETW measures impact INTEGRATE partners will pilot new tool
21 Spring European Hepatitis-HIV Testing Week Pilot As part of the work through the INTEGRATE JA and in collaboration with the European Liver Patients Association, there will be a pilot Spring European Testing Week from May 2018 Main aims of the pilot: To provide another opportunity during the year to promote testing and increase awareness of knowing one's hepatitis/hiv status Focus on integrated testing activities for hepatitis and HIV with the aim of understanding how we can improve and address barriers Assess interest and the feasibility of having more than one Testing Week during the year
