2 What is Ritalin? Ritalin is a schedule II prescription, and a form of Methamphetamines given to both kids and adults with ADHD, ADD, and Narcosis. Effects the chemicals responsible for impulse control and hyperactivity
3 History According to the Center for Substance Abuse Research(CESAR), Ritalin was first marketed in 1957 to treat fatigue, depression, psychosis, and narcolepsy, alongside fatigue caused by other medications.
4 illegal uses concerning ritalin Being a stimulant, Ritalin is used by students for academic purposes. Others may use it for dietary purposes, as the drug suppresses your appetite. *Ritalin is considered a gateway to other drugs*
5 Consumption of ritalin These methods include; Misuse of water soluble pills (5, 10, or 20 Mg pills/tablets). Crushing and snorting said pills/tablets. Injection into the bloodstream Inhaling the drug Street Names Diet Coke Kiddie Cocaine Poor Man s Cocaine R-Ball Rids Skittles Smarties Vitamin R.
6 Short Term Effects While Using Serious Side Effects Irregular heartbeats Ritalin Feeling nauseous Fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash Changes in mood (aggressive, restless, hallucinations, unusual behavior, or muscle twitches) Bruise easier which makes purple spots on your skin High blood pressure Less serious side effects may include: Stomach issues (lost in appetite, vomiting) Problems with your vision, headaches, dizziness You will begin to sweat more and may have a mild skin rash Your hands or feet feel numb, tingly, or cold Insomnia (sleep problems) Weight loss
7 Long Term effects When taking ritalin Permanently damage your blood vessels of heart and brain, high blood pressure leading to heart attacks, strokes and death Liver, kidney and lung damage If Snorted - Destroys tissues in nose If Smoked - Breathing (respiratory) problems If Injected - Infectious diseases and abscesses Disorientation, apathy, confused exhaustion Strong psychological dependence Psychosis Depression
