2 Following natural or man-made disasters, health care facilities are disrupted or totally destroyed. In such instances, an immediate response is needed to ensure access to basic health care. The is a ready-to-use medical kit, its content follows the WHO Interagency Emergency Health Kit (IEHK) guidelines. The whole kit is designed to meet the initial primary health care needs of 10,000 displaced people for a period of 3 months. It consists of 10 Basic Units and 1 Supplementary Unit. Since no items from the Basic Unit are included, it has to be used only together with one or more Basic Units.
