2 Products: Unique Selling Points & FAQs 1) Cough & Cold Products Cough Elixir Relieves wet & dry coughs - Soothing expectorant for the relief of wet and dry coughs without acting as a suppressant - Suitable for children through to adults. - No side effects and can be used with other medications. - Active ingredients (Marshmallow, Aniseed, Sundew) act to soothe irritated mucus membranes relieving tickly coughs; (Plantain, Horehound) work as expectorants to break up and eliminate mucus assisting chesty coughs. Q. Can I give Weleda Cough Elixir to my baby? Weleda Cough Elixir can be recommended to children under 12 years. Seek professional advice before giving any medicines for coughs to children under 2 years. Weleda recommends Cold & Flu Pilules for child under 2 years with feverish colds and flu. Q. What does Weleda Cough Elixir taste like? This makes a very pleasant drink, which is sipped. Positive feedback from mothers, many mention it s the only cough medicine their child will take. Q. Why is there sugar in Weleda Cough Elixir? The Weleda Elixirs are true Elixirs and use sugar to naturally preservative the product. Therefore Weleda Elixirs are not suitable for diabetics. Cold & Flu Pilules Colds & Flu symptom relief - For the relief of cold and flu symptoms such as fever, muscle ache, headache, sore throat, sneezing, running nose and cough. - Ideal for babies, young children and pregnant mums as they are alcohol free and dissolve quickly in the mouth. - No side effects, non sedative. If my baby/child has a cold or flu how often should I give them Cold & Flu Pilules? Take a dose every 2 hours. This will help relieve the symptoms and speed recovery. 3 Q How often can I take Weleda Throat Relief Oral Spray? Can be taken every one - two hours, as symptoms improve reduce dosage to 3 times daily. Herb & Honey Chest Relief Soothes and calms - Formulated specifically for children, pleasant tasting - Honey flavoured syrup to soothe and calm the chest and airways - Suitable for children 2 years and over. Q Can I give Weleda Herb & Honey Chest Relief to my baby? Weleda Herb and Honey Chest Relief can be recommended to children from 2 years. Seek professional advice before giving any medicines for coughs to children under 2 years. Weleda recommends Cold & Flu Pilules for child under 2 years with feverish colds and flu. Q What else can I use with Herb and Honey Chest Relief? You can also use along side Cold and Flu Pilules, Chest Rub and Echinacea/Thuja Comp. 2) Pain Management Arnica Cream Fast healing for bruises and sprains - Arnica Cream is the strongest registered Arnica Cream on the NZ market containing 50% Arnica extract. - Competitors product contain around 10%. - Weleda Arnica Cream combines Arnica with the pure essential oils of Silver Fir, Lemon, Rosemary and Sage. This enhances the anti-inflammatory action of Arnica and therefore makes the cream more effective. - Natural base means cream is absorbed deep into the tissue and carries active ingredients down with it. Q. Can I use Weleda Arnica Cream if the skin is broken, i.e. around the outside of a cut? Arnica cream is not to be used on open wounds. To assist healing of cuts and abrasions use Weleda Hypercal Lotion diluted (antiseptic, healing wash), Weleda Hypercal Cream or Weleda Calendula Healing Cream. Arnica Cream can be carefully applied around the outside of broken skin, ensuring it does not go into the cut or abrasions. Q. Can I use Weleda Arnica Cream on children and the elderly? Yes, however if there are concerns about sensitive skin, test on a small area of the skin and apply sparingly. In the case of a reaction discontinue use. Q. Do I need to take Arnica internally as well as applying Weleda Arnica Cream? For best results we recommend taking Weleda Arnica 6x (adults) or Weleda Arnica Pilules (children), as well as applying Weleda Arnica Cream to speed recovery of injured tissue.

4 Muscular Relief Gel Fast acting relief for stiff muscles, sprains & strains - Weleda Muscular Relief Gel is a great product for the Sports Bag and family First Aid Kit. The gel absorbs quickly into the injury and supports the body's healthy recovery from bruising, sprains and strains of muscles, joints and backs. - Use before and after sport for recovery from injuries and over-exertion. - Take with Weleda Arnica/Symphytum Comp for extra support. Q. Can I use Weleda Muscular Relief Gel if the skin is broken, i.e. around the outside of a cut? Muscular Relief Gel is not to be used on open wounds. To assist healing of cuts and abrasions use Weleda Hypercal Lotion. Q. What is the difference between Weleda Arnica Cream and Weleda Muscular Relief Gel? Muscular Relief Gel does not leave any greasy residue making it ideal for use in sports. Both Arnica Cream and Muscular Relief Gel assist with recovery of bruising, sprains and strains of muscles and joints. Tendinitis Cream Fast healing of strains, sprains and bruises to bony areas - High concentration for fast effective healing - Special formulation targets the healing of joints as well as the surrounding tissue. - For best results use with Arnica/Symphytum Comp. Q. Can I use Weleda Tendinitis Cream if the skin is broken, i.e. around the outside of a cut? Tendinitis Cream is not to be used on open wounds. To assist healing of cuts and abrasions use Weleda Hypercal Lotion diluted (antiseptic, healing wash), Weleda Hypercal Cream or Weleda Calendula Healing Cream. Is there an internal medicine that I could take to along with using Tendinitis Cream? For best results we recommend taking Weleda Arnica/Symphytum Comp. to boost recovery. Arnica/Symphytum Comp. Healing of bone\ligaments - Specific formulation that helps heal injuries to bone, cartilage, ligaments and muscles, eg. sports injuries, sprains, surgery, tendinitis, RSI (OOS), broken bones. - Speeds recovery post surgery - No side effects. Q. Would it be beneficial to use a cream as well as Arnica/Symphytum Comp.? For best results we recommend using Weleda Tendinitis Cream in conjunction with Weleda Arnica/Symphytum to speed recovery of injured tissue.

5 Q. Can I take Arnica/Symphytum Comp. before and after surgery to assist recovery? Weleda recommend taking Arnica/Symphytum Comp. after surgery to assist recovery. Directions: 30 drops in a glass of water and sip every 15 minutes. After 6 doses (sips) reduce the frequency to once every hour, making up a fresh supply as required. 24 hours after surgery take 15 drops (adults) 3 times daily at least 15 minutes before meals. Continue during the recovery phase. Q. How long can I take Arnica/Symphytum Comp. for? For chronic illness (prolonged symptoms) take as indicated on the label for 6 weeks, and then have a 2 week break. This cycle can be repeated for several months if required. For acute illness (sudden/one-off symptoms) take as indicated on the label for 3 days 1 week after symptoms have gone. Frost Cream Effective relief of Chilblains - For the prevention and treatment of chilblains. - Unique product that works on improving circulation warms and relieves never pain. - Helps remove congestion and relieve discomfort Q. Can I use Frost Cream on broken skin? Do not apply Frost Cream to broken skin. Instead apply Weleda Hypercal Cream to assist with healing. Frost Cream can be applied once the skin has healed. 3) Allergy Gencydo Hayfever Nasal Spray Fast relief from hayfever and allergies - Fast acting treatment for hayfever, unlike many conventional nasal sprays which require a lead in (or build up ) time. Gencydo Hayfever Nasal Spray provides effective relief from first application. - No rebound congestion so this product can be used long term. No side effects such as insomnia, dizziness. - Unique therapeutic ingredients (lemon & quince) work to strengthen integrity of the mucus membranes in the nasal passage. Q. Can I use Weleda Gencydo Hayfever Nasal Spray during pregnancy? Yes, this product is suitable for use during pregnancy. Q. Can I use Weleda Gencydo Hayfever Nasal Spray while taking other medication? Yes, you can use Gencydo Hayfever Nasal Spray with other conventional and/or complementary medication Q. Can I use Gencydo Hayfever Nasal Spray to assist with a runny or blocked nose associated with a cold. Yes, as this products helps to strengthen the mucus membranes in the nose, helping to reduce and clear nasal discharge. For best results use with Weleda Echinacea/Thuja Comp.

6 Gencydo 0.1 % Eyedrops Fast relief for allergy eyes - Fast acting relief for red, irritated streaming eyes, often associated with allergies and hayfever. - Gencydo Eye Drops are safe to use long term as don t restrict blood flow to the eye, unlike many conventional eye drops which do restrict blood flow to the area. - Ideal product for prevention as well as treatment. - Can be used with contact lenses. Q. Can I use Gencydo Eye Drops if I wear contact lenses? Yes, you can use the Gencydo Eye Drops if you wear contact lenses. Q. Can I use Weleda Gencydo Eye Drops during pregnancy? Yes, this product is suitable for use during pregnancy. 4) First Aid Combudoron Spray For treatment of Insect Bites - A soothing and healing spray for the relief of itchy skin rashes, insect bites and stings. - Unique product due to its anti-inflammatory and healing properties. The specific action of Arnica, combined with the Nettle work together to help heal tissue damage. Both plants help soothe local inflammation and encourage the formation of healthy tissue. - Spray on application avoids the need for touching or rubbing tender skin, providing fast acting relief (note this is a topical spray) Q. Can I use Weleda Combudoron Spray if the skin is broken, i.e. top has been scratch off the insect bite? Yes, Weleda Combudoron Spray can be used on insect bites that have had the top layer of skin removed. However we do not advise use if the skin is broken and bleeding, in this instance we recommend Weleda Hypercal Cream or Weleda Calendula Healing Cream. Q. Can I use Weleda Combudoron Spray on children and the elderly? Yes, however if there are concerns about sensitive skin, test on a small area of the skin and apply sparingly. In the case of a reaction discontinue use. Q. Can Weleda Combudoron Spray also be taken orally? No, Weleda Combudoron Spray provides topical relief and is not to be taken orally. Burns & Bites Cooling Gel For burns, sunburn and insect bites - Excellent product for the family First Aid Kit - A cooling, soothing herbal gel to relieve pain and promote healing of minor burns, scalds and sunburn. - Soothes and relieves itchy insect bites, stings and skin rashes and heat rash.

7 Q. Can I use Weleda Burns & Bites Cooling Gel if the skin has blistered? Yes, you can use Weleda Burns & Bites Cooling Gel on skin that is blistered but not broken. Burns with broken skin, major or extensive burns should be treated under medical supervision. Q. How often can I apply Weleda Burns & Bites Cooling Gel to a new burn? Standard first aid for burns applies (i.e., hold the burn under cold water until the initial pain has subsided usually 10 to 15 minutes). Then pat dry and apply a thin layer of Burns & Bites Cooling Gel, repeat every 2 3 hours as required. Hypercal Healing Cream Soothes and heals, painful cuts and wounds - Helps heal painful cuts, abrasions and wounds % natural Weleda Hypercal Healing Cream (containing Hypericum *St. John s Wort] and Calendula), with its anti-inflammatory, natural pain relief and wound healing properties, supports the formation of healthy skin tissue and promotes skin repair. - Especially effective for painful cuts. - Supports healing and repair of cold sores, chickenpox and shingles (mid end stage) Q. Can I apply Weleda Hypercal Healing Cream to a fresh graze? Yes, but first clean the wound with 1 part Weleda Hypercal Lotion to 9 parts of freshly boiled and then cooled water. Q. How long can I use Weleda Hypercal Healing Cream for? This can be used as long as the symptoms persist. However if the condition worsens or is not responding then consult your health professional Hypercal Healing Lotion Cleanses, soothes, heals - Has natural antiseptic qualities, to cleanse, soothe pain and heal painful cuts, grazes and skin inflammations. - Helps relieve the pain and discomfort of coldsores. - Follow up with Weleda Hypercal Healing Cream. Q. When is the best time to use Hypercal Healing Cream on a coldsore? Hypercal Healing Cream is an ideal treatment (neat application) for the first stages of a cold sore, chickenpox and shingles Q. Why does Weleda use alcohol in this product? Weleda medicines contain no synthetic preservatives. Alcohol (also known as ethanol) acts as a natural preservative against bacteria, yeast and moulds. Rash Relief Cream Effectively treats skin rashes and nappy rash - For the effective treatment of skin rashes (including nappy rash): soothes, protects and helps heal delicate skin. - Versatile product for all rashes due - Effective relief for Nappy Rash and fungal skin conditions - Particularly healing for wet eczema

8 Q. Can I use Weleda Rash Relief on my eyelids? Yes, as this formulation is suited to sensitive areas of skin. It s always a good idea to patch test a product before applying it to an affected area and this can be done on the neck. Leave for 24 hours and if no reaction occurs apply a small amount to the eyelid being careful to avoid the eye. 5) Eye & Ear Care: Euphrasia 3x Soothing Eyedrops For red, irritated, tired watery eyes - For eyestrain, hayfever, allergies and colds - soothes and relieves red, irritated, water, tired and puffy eyes. - Suitable for use with contact lenses - Ideal travel companion to soothe dry eyes from flying - Squeeze the drops from the applicator, not the bottle Q. How long will Weleda Euphrasia Soothing Eyedrops last for after opening? We recommend discarding 4 weeks after opening. Q. Can children use Weleda Euphrasia Eyedrops? Seek professional advice before giving any medicines to children under 2. Use only as directed for children under 12. Ear Drops (Levisticum Comp.) For acute earache and chronic glue ear - Can be used for prevention or treatment in babies through to adults - Dries up mucus and relieves pain in acute or chronic glue ear - Treats the primary and secondary infection - Unique product, available without a prescription. A companion product to antibiotics. - Take with Earache Relief Oral Drops for additional effectiveness Q Can Weleda Ear Drops be used in children with grommets? - Consult with your doctor before using Weleda Ear Drops in children with grommets. Pharmacists are available at Weleda to discuss this with the doctor if necessary. Until such time Weleda would recommend supporting the child with Earache Relief Oral Drops. Q. Can Weleda Ear Drops be used to relieve pain in ears when flying? - Yes. Take one hour before take-off and landing and 2 hourly during the flight if required

Weleda Nausyn is effective at treating morning sickness during pregnancy. Q. When do I take Weleda Nausyn to stop travel sickness? Take one hour before travelling and then 2 hourly while travelling.
