7 Philips UV (/09) and UV-1 (/10) Phototherapy lamps Philips UV (/09) lamps emit radiation over the whole UV part of the spectrum ( nm). Philips UV-1 (/10) lamps emit radiation in a limited part of the UV range. In PUV-therapy these lamps are used in combination with Photosensitizers (for example Psoralenes) for the treatment of Psoriasis. Treatment with PUV remains the standard for patients with high PSI scores who do not respond or whose psoriasis cannot be controlled adequately by UV. Philips UV therapy lamps (/01 and /12) are only supplied to qualified customers.
