1 (prior to being seen by me) 12/2/2020 ENT Practice Road Greentown Hearing Aid and VRA Exemplar Chart Version 1 Dear Doctor, Thank you for seeing XXX who was referred from Newborn Hearing screening with a bilateral referral. He was seen at XDHB on 12 th February Results from today s testing are outlined below. Results: 500Hz 2000Hz 4000Hz R AC BC 50 Click No evidence of ANSD L AC Click No evidence of ANSD dbehl Distortion production otoacoustic emissions were absent bilaterally from 1500Hz to 6000Hz. Tympanometry testing revealed Type A tympanograms bilaterally consistent with normal middle ear pressure and compliance bilaterally. Ipsilateral acoustic reflexes were attempted however could not be tested as XXX became upset for this testing. Summary and Recommendations Todays are consistent with a moderate sensorineural hearing loss in both ears with normal middle ear pressure in both ears. I have discussed hearing aids with XXX s family today and they are keen to proceed with this as soon as possible. I would like to refer XXX to your service for your opinion on the aetiology of his hearing loss. I have referred onto the AODC service to support the family. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Regards, OTHER AUDIOLOGIST
