10 VALUES THAT CONVINCE It is mainly fillers with their size and proportions in particular that are decisive for the good properties of a composite. iis a modern micro-hybrid veneering composite with a filler content of silanized inorganic fillers of 53% by weight. The combination of the proportions of micro and macro fillers has a crucial influence on the properties of a composite. The balanced relationship of elastic behaviour at high chewing pressure loading variation ensures high breakage resistance. When evaluating a composite, Vickers hardness and elastic modulus, on the one hand, and flexural strength, on the other, always have to be viewed in context. The 53% share of fillers is directly related to the high elastic modulus of 7100 MPa. The higher the inorganic filler content, the higher the elastic modulus is too. The proportional flexural strength of 83 MPa gives good plastic behaviour and counteracts porosity.
