Abracadabra! A Dental Magic Seminar top secret notes On the following pages is an outline of each magic trick you will learn in this fast-paced and fun session. All secrets will be revealed during the seminar after participants take the magicians oath to never reveal the secrets learned. Print out this handy document and take notes or after the session, drop Louis a message and he will you a complete manual with secrets revealed. Presented by the Toronto Academy of Dentistry Featuring Louis Melamed President -- Dentallusions, Inc. Member International Brotherhood of Magicians

Before you begin doing any magic...here is a tip we recommend: Assign a core group of people (or one person) in your dental office to learn the magic tricks. Then have them teach others in your business how to do each trick. Learn one trick at a time and learn it well. Please do not try to perform the magic until you have practiced a little. The more comfortable you feel with the props, the more fun you will have. So take some quiet time to learn each trick well. We made every effort to keep the tricks easy to learn and quick to perform. If you need help at any time, please feel free to call us toll free at Thank you again for participation in the Dental Magic Smeinar! The magic you will be learning in today s magic seminar may require some practice and is not intended to be performed by children under 18. Instead, they are intended to be performed for children and adults. Each student in the Dental Magic Seminar assumes complete responsibility for misuse of any props provided by Dentallusions, Inc. Please enjoy and have fun with magic in your office. We know you will bring a smile to every patient who encounters the magic. All Rights Reserved 2010 Dentallusions, Inc. Duplication or reproduction of these notes by any means or method is prohibited without prior written consent from Dentallusions, Inc. Thank you.

HOPPING COTTON ROLLS Put two cotton rolls in each hand. After a few magic words, one of the cotton rolls jumps to the other hand. How it works: Other notes:

Vanishing INSTRUMENT You casually start talking to your patient when all of a sudden the dental instrument you are holding vanishes in thin air. How it works: Other Notes:

tricks WITH INSTRUMENTS Your solid metal dental instrument looks rubber, but when the patient looks at it, it becomes solid again. Rubber Dental Instrument How it works A dental instrument sticks to your hand. Anti-Gravity Instrument

CUP CUP AND AWAY You show your patient three rinse cups. After a series of three moves flipping two cups at a time you are able to end with all three cups upright. No matter how hard the patient tries to follow your instructions, they always end with the cups upside down. How it works: Other Notes:

Rising CHair The dental chair magically rises while the patient is sitting in it. How it works: Other Notes:

SUper dentist The dentist appears to fly into the treatment center. How it works: Other Notes:

floating Dental Prop EFFECT: There are several effects...an object can float, a card can spin or a toothbrush can become animated. REQUIRED PROP: THE SECRET: PREPARATION:

Vanishing Fluoride Warning: do not attempt to throw a hot liquid such as coffee, which has been mixed with slush powder at anyone. Doing so could result in a skin burn. Do not ingest or inhale through mouth or nose. Keep out of eyes. The Vanishing Fluoride trick uses a super absorbent polymer that will solidify most any liquid it comes in contact with, including body fluids. The U.S. Government has determined that super absorbent polymer is nontoxic. However, it is NOT a food grade product. In the event it gets into the eyes, immediately flush with plenty of water. Purchaser assumes complete responsibility for product misuse. Keep out of reach of children under age 18. EFFECT: You pour a cup of water and instantly it vanishes! SECRET: Provided with this kit is a container of Slush Powder. It turns most liquids into a gel substance on contact. PRESENTATION: Before performing, place 1/2 teaspoon of slush powder in the bottom of an opaque cup. Casually show two cups. One filled with water and the other (apparently) empty. Explain to your patient the importance of rinsing after brushing and flossing your teeth. Then pour the water (liquid) into the empty cup...wait a few seconds, then turn the cup upside down. The water looks like it has vanished! As you show the cup empty, explain that if you don t floss, your teeth might...disappear. NOTE: MAKE SURE THE WATER HAS COMPLETELY GELLED BEFORE TURNING THE CUP UPSIDE DOWN. IMPORTANT TIPS: The size of the cup and how much water you vanish will determine how much slush powder you will need. If you use small 5 ounce cups, you may not need a full 1/2 teaspoon of the powder. Practice this trick with various liquids before performing. Some liquids vanish better and faster than others. Some liquids are not at all affected by the chemical in slush powder. WE RECOMMEND USING WATER. Very cold water takes longer to gel. Use room temperature water for best results. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND pretending to throw the water at people. Instead, you may want them to hold out their hands and pretend to pour the water into their hands. PLEASE NOTE: After doing this trick several times, you will run out of slush powder. When you run out of slush powder, simply call tollfree to order more.
