The CEREC 3-D milling machine cuts and colors new restorations for a perfect fit and match to the patient s other teeth. All this is accomplished in a couple of hours during a single visit, instead of multiple trips to the dentist s office. Unlike the traditional metal fillings of old, which weakened over time and often allowed decay to grow underneath the metal, CEREC uses a tooth-colored ceramic substance that actually strengthens tooth integrity. An optical impression of the tooth replaces the goop in the past used for tooth impressions. The CEREC machine then converts these digital pictures into a three-dimensional virtual model. 8 when the jaw is closed. Dental occlusion can cause tooth, jaw and neck pain and headaches and creates excessive wear on teeth. The T-Scan Bite Analysis System replaces the old carbon paper used as a rudimentary method to record the patient s bite. T-Scan Bite Analysis System captures the complete nuances of the patient s bite through a hand-held sensor device connected to a computer. Patients bite down on the thin sensor so the computer can record the bite. Dr. Patel designs a personalized treatment to correct the bite through the series of images and graphs the system provides. For the treatment of TMJ issues, Patel relies on Bio-JVA Joint Vibration Analysis, which gauges TMJ disorders through friction and vibration of the joints in a procedure that lasts less than 10 seconds.
