Increased knowledge and understanding of coaching, evidence based practice, strength and conditioning principles and their practical application to your clients, improved coaching through the major lifts squat, bench press, deadlift and their variations, and the application of scientific principles of nutrition to get your clients the physique they desire. What you can expect? Included in the mentorship, you will receive: JPS Mentorship Outline. JPS Nutritional Plan Guidelines Booklet. JPS Program Writing Principles Booklet. Unlimited Shadowing Opportunities at JPS Facilities. Online Support. Weekly Assessment / Testing. WEEK 1 Coaching 101 COURSE OUTLINE In this unit you will learn what it takes to become an elite level coach, and why personal training as we know it is dead. You will also gain an understanding of the qualities and skills necessary to make it in the industry. WEEK 2 Consultation/Assessments/Screening Learning how to screen clients for injuries, postural abnormalities, muscular imbalances and other issues is extremely useful and important for optimizing your programming.
3 WEEK 3 S&C/ PROGRAMMING PART 1 This section will cover important exercise principles as they apply to training and program writing. You will gain a better understanding of the foundational knowledge necessary to correctly structure your clients training, and how to help them get results in the gym. WEEK 4 S&C/ PROGRAMMING PART 2 This unit will build upon the previous S&C programming topic and outline how the principles can be applied differently according to the needs of your clients and their goals. WEEK 5 LOWER BODY: Squat/Deadlift You will learn the mechanics of a squat, how to correctly teach the squat and its many variations to maximise lower body development, strength, speed and power. WEEK 6 UPPER BODY: Bench You will learn the mechanics of bench press, how to correctly teach the correct technique through all planes of movement for the upper body, and how to organise programs to maximise physique development, strength, speed and power. WEEK 7 Periodization/Progressions/Regressions. Learn the different periodization models and how to optimally structure your clients programs according to their goals. You will also learn how to progress and regress a client both through exercise and programming modalities. WEEK 8 Special Populations (Athlete s/gen Pop/Elderly) If you re understanding of athletic preparation for powerlifting, football and other performance based sports, there is a science and an art. This topic will also cover general populations with
4 obesity, diabetes, cardiac disease and other common illnesses personal trainers will have to deal with. WEEK 9 NUTRITION PART 1 This unit will cover everything you need to know about how to set up your clients diet for fat loss, strength and muscle gain, performance or general well being, and how to progress them through a range of nutritional protocols. WEEK 10 NUTRITION PART 2 Following on from Nutrition Part 1, this unit will delve deeper into the intricacies of nutrition, teaching you how to devise the most suitable plan for your client to follow, and then how to bust through nasty plateaus to achieve body composition results time and time again. WEEK 11 Getting Results Bringing it all together is how you get your clients RESULTS, consistently. This unit will be focused on how to get the most out of your clients training, nutrition, motivation and compliance. This results, ensures that you succeed as a trainer, both in the industry and financially. WEEK 12 - Recap We will bring together all of the aforementioned topics to teach you how to apply the science to your clients individual needs, to ensure your practice is evidence based. When Does The Next Mentorship Start? Our next mentorship program commences on the 26 th of July 2016 Tuesday & Thursday Nights 7:30pm 8:30pm. If you cannot make one of the classes, this is not an issue as we
5 will work directly with each trainer throughout the course to ensure all content is covered. How Much Does It Cost? The mentorship program costs $1600 for the entire 12 weeks, and all additional consultations and training sessions included. Payment plans are available from $133 per week. How do I start?
