2 Day 6 Yesterday we bridged into the less tangible of the six points by speaking of elements of the Mind / Brain. While the EEM and PFC are physical locations within the brain (tangible), the driver of those two players is the intangible mind. Even as we recognize exercise as the application of challenge (good stress balanced with adequate recovery) to the physical body, we are opening up to the idea that we need to look beyond that which we can touch and see in the mirror. Today we address the living essence of the Spirit piece. The energy I ve learned to call LIfeForce Principle ##11 LifeForce is all the invisible force that turns a seed into a tree and an embryo into a free functioning human is the force that governs the life and activity of the cells and systems that keep us young, healthy, and vital, and when that force is blocked health has no choice but to suffer. Energy at the cellular level is the pure power that sustains life, and the source of that energy is universal. Regardless of religious belief or position, an acknowledgement that the animating force that allows us to think, to maintain motion and emotion, and that allows our hearts to beat is universal, and if we block access, either at a macro level or a cellular level, we weaken. Conversely, if we eat light-infused food, find connection with sunlight and nature, enjoy positive human connection, and have a sense of an individual connection with something greater than ourselves, we feed our bodies with this life-giving force of nature. If we are to truly understand the Six Points, Brain, Immune System, Gut, Mind, Spirit, and Cell, we realize they are undividable pieces of a whole, and now that we have a greater sense of both the meaning and the importance of balance, we begin to understand how critical Lifeforce (Spirit) is to both the cell and the flow of energy among and between the physical (tangible) systems of the body. As you use postural poses such as the Mountain and the Tree to develop ideal spinal alignment, you also open up the network, allowing the internal organs to access their invisible but very real energy force. By now you re no doubt starting to realize how much further this program goes in terms of not only creating what we recognize as a fit body, but also in terms of the creation of health... a Health Genesis. 3 Principle ##12 LifeForce is released, infused, spread, and radiated at higher levels through improvement in posture as 21 st century postural conditions related to sitting in the computer ready position have become commonplace. In conditions of forward head and Anterior Pelvic Tilt the ribs compress the lungs and the size of the abdominal cavity that houses the vital organs is reduced compromising access to both internal and external feeders of LifeForce. Habitual assumption of a neutral spine position forces skeletal muscles to strengthen and support a condition of postural excellence allowing LifeForce to move with circulatory optimization, respiratory optimization, and open pathways to all internal organs. 4 IN SUMMARY DAY #6 EXERCISE Stay with the 12-minute Routine Continue the two (2) 1-minute bouts of Windmill taps throughout the day NUTRITION Work to personally improve upon your own Supportive Eating with an added awareness of getting a quality protein and a source of protein-sparing energy in each meal. Avoid energy disruptors. Be sure to hydrate frequently and consistently with spring water. LIFESTYLE NOTES Laugh, Smile, Spend 10 minutes in Gratitude, Sleep at least 6 hours, optimally 8 As you perform the various poses, and assume different postures, visualize LifeForce flowing through you. Imagine the difference in the volume of energy your internal organs can receive when the rib cage and the abdominal cavity are open. As you visualize LifeForce, during the poses or throughout the day, create a mental association with Light. Although we cannot touch Light, it serves as a fantastic metaphor that our brains recognize, and the more often and vividly you imagine light flowing through your organs, systems, and cells, the better you ll get at actually accessing the power of Spirit..
