12 MH Priorities/Actions Y&H SCN for MH (1) Parity of Esteem Regional programme of work with NHS England (North) Dementia Diagnosis (67%), MCA/DoLs. Scoping and benchmarking current models of Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) and exploring opportunities to develop a network approach to regional service improvement and achieve the 15%/50% ambitions Reducing premature mortality in people with a serious mental illness young people s suicide rate reduction-scoping with PHE locally (20 th June PHE workshop- Mercure Parkway Hotel, Leeds LS16 8AG) MH Regional CCG Commissioning Group: Contribution to and development of Y&H wide CCG lead commissioners group - SCN for MH will support their work and interface with NHS England specialised commissioning/camhs. Mental Health Crisis Care Concordat - Y&H MH Multi-Agency Collaborative: The SCN is supporting a region wide group, led by Yorkshire Ambulance Services and in conjunction with 4 police forces that serve this region on an s136 place of safety project which includes looking at pathways for managing patients in crisis out in the community and developing a dataset to track activity and outcomes /6/14

13 MH Priorities/Actions Y&H SCN for MH (2) Mental Health (D&N) Intelligence Network The formal launch of the MHDNIN is on 18 th June 2014 and will bring together 45 datasets from 3 agencies together for commissioners to see how they are doing and act as a benchmark for improving quality. The Y&H is supporting the development of this via NHS England (N) arrangements. CCG GP MH Leadership Programme: SCN will be contacting all CCGs for expressions of interest. Plans for a learning set for Y&H GPs; work on how to improve primary care MH services. One place per CCG. CAMHS - Working with Specialist Commissioners and CCGs to develop CAMHS pathways, CYP IAPT, service specification development, scope greater use of digital media/electronic forums to support young people as an alternative to face to face support. SCN funding a CAMHS network lead for a year. Older Aged Psychiatrists to bring together all OAPs in the region interface with dementia/working age psychiatry NHS England (North) Oversight Group for MHDN ( July 2014) political profile 13 11/6/14
