Offered via call, text, chat 24/7/365 in English, Spanish, Mandarin & Cantonese with interpretation for 200+ other languages. Call stats from October 24, 2016 to September 12, 2017: 227,942 inbound calls, texts and chats 31 second Average Speed of Answer 17 minute Average Talk Time Mode of contact: 77% call; 15% chat; 8% text Intervention types from November 1, 2016 to August 31, 2017 Support = 48% Information & referral = 39% 12
13 NYC Well Huge expansion of in size and scope of services Nearly triple the capacity of people served All services available in text and chat, in addition to call All modes of communication required/incentivized to meet the same ambitious service levels (30 sec ASA) Peer support offered as a core service alongside more traditional offerings (15-20% of contacts choose peer support) Real connections to care through warm hand-offs Follow-up calls and texts offered to everyone; for more support or appointment reminders Platform for near and long term system transformation Back-end connection to 911 to divert some behavioral health crises from police/ambulance/hospital response to rapid access BH response. Vehicle for connecting people en masse with new and innovative services. Potential to incentivize providers through prioritized NYC Well referrals. Potential for direct scheduling of appointments across provider networks. Real time data on the behavioral health needs of New Yorkers.

21 Office of School Health, School Mental Health Approach Our goal is to implement and create effective ways of increasing school-based access to mental health services for all NYC students regardless of race, ethnicity, social and economic status to prevent the on-set of mental health challenges and lessen those that exist. SMH program are the implementation drivers for access and integration of mental health services in schools. SMH ensures that school leadership and staff have the resources, systems in place, tools, and capabilities to address student mental health needs and improve school climate. Assessment must be done for every school triggers mental health process We facilitate outside providers or link existing resources to incorporate mental heath interventions for student and school community Not a cookie cutter approach!
