Quick Diagnosis Questions Condition INNOVO Do you leak when you sneeze, cough or laugh? When you re being active such as walking or dancing, do you leak? Taking a gym class, running, riding a bike or participating in any form of physical exercise, are leaks a problem? Are you having broken sleep because you keep needing to visit the toilet? Does the fear of a leaks determine where you choose to shop or limit your travel decisions? Do you leak when you sneeze, cough or laugh? + Are you having broken sleep because you keep needing to visit the toilet? Do you feel the bladder going down? Stress Urinary Incontinence Muscle Training effect (Prog 1) Urge Incontinence or Over Active Bladder Neuromodulation effect (Prog 2) Mixed Urinary Incontinence Muscle Training + Neuromodulation effects Prolapse Muscle Training Re-educates and strengthens the pelvic floor by delivering, through external multipath stimulation, 180 contractions of enough intensity to induce significant pelvic floor movement repetitively over a 30 minute period. Delivers Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation to the sacral area to calm the bladder Strengthens the pelvic floor and inhibit the bladder (calm the bladder) by delivering neuromodulation Strengthens the pelvic floor by delivering 180 contractions per session

Is Innovotherapy suitable for me? If you are one of the millions of women and men who suffer from some degree of urinary incontinence then Innovotherapy may be able to help. Or if you want to effectively strengthen your pelvic floor muscles to prevent urinary incontinence then Innovotherapy is for you. Is there an age limit? There is no upper age limit as long as you are in full health. INNOVO is intended for use by female and male adults. I have an intra-uterine device (IUD) or Mirena coil fitted. Can I use INNOVO? You should not use INNOVO if you have an IUD or Mirena coil fitted which is made from any conductive material, such as copper. However, if your Mirena coil is made from electrically conductive material and there is no conductive material exposed in the device, then the Mirena model is fine to use.

Size Guide What size is right for me? Initially ask the individual their standard dress size to determine if they need a Small, Medium or Large garment. If bordering between sizes always size down. Once they receive the product they then need to measure the largest area around their hips/buttocks. From this, they will be able to determine if they need to use the A or B pad placement on the garment as set out below.

Why is Innovo more effective than Pelvic Floor or Kegel Exercises? Pelvic floor exercises, or Kegels, involve voluntary contraction of the pelvic floor muscles. For many people this can be difficult and sometimes are not done accurately. INNOVO uses targeted impulses to accurately and effectively stimulate the pelvic floor muscles with 180 perfect contractions every session. With each session lasting 30 minutes it is easy to fit into your daily routine and you rest in the knowledge that Innovotherapy is doing the hard work for you Can Innovo help Treat a Prolapse? A strong pelvic floor can help control symptoms and limit the worsening of prolapse. INNOVO can assist you to build and maintain a healthy pelvic floor through regular cycles of pelvic floor muscle contraction and relaxation. Can Innovo improve my sexual health? There are established links between A strong pelvic floor and improved sexual function. INNOVO can assist you to build and maintain a healthy pelvic floor through regular cycles of pelvic floor muscle contraction and relaxation. (study taking placed at the moment)

Can men use Innovo? Men can also use Innovotherapy. 1 in 10 men suffer the symptoms of bladder weakness at some time in their lives,2 commonly associated with prostate enlargement and / or as a consequence of prostate surgery. I ve had proctectomy will Innovo help me? Yes, If you suffer from leaking and a weak pelvic floor due to a Proctectomy Innovo will certainly help you by strengthening your pelvic floor muscles. Will Innovo help treat Faecal/Bowel incontinence? We have just completed an investigator led study on Faecal incontinence in France at present we have no data on this indication but this should change in the near future

How long before I start to notice an improvement? Clinical research has indicated that INNOVO users may start to notice an improvement after just 4 weeks of treatment. For best results, we recommend that you use INNOVO for at least 12 weeks. What does the stimulation feel like? You will feel a lifting sensation in your Pelvic Floor. As you start to increase the intensity you will begin to feel stimulation in the muscles in the buttock area, a mild tingling sensation. As you continue to increase the intensity level this stimulation will turn into a contraction. The contraction will feel like the muscles are tensing and lifting. This sensation will move from the buttock area forwards, between the legs along the pelvic floor giving you the same lifting sensation throughout the pelvic floor. You should not feel any stimulation on your thighs or legs, always ask the customer to check the garments are positioned correctly if the experience a sensation anywhere else other than the buttocks or pelvic floor.

What intensity should do I need to reach? How the customer feels the Intensity differs from one person to the next. As a guide and for the best treatment outcome, we would aim that the customer reaches a level of Initially I would recommend that the customer increases the intensity to the strongest most comfortable level for example most people would tend to reach on the first few sessions, after a few sessions the majority of people will be able to go up to higher level. Effective stimulation should be strong but never feel uncomfortable. Program 2(urge) the intensity level goes from 1-70 so we would recommend that you increase it to the strongest most comfortable level. What is the correct Position when using the INNOVO? Position A Standing: Stand near a flat surface with feet flat on the floor and tilt the upper body slightly forward Position B Crook Lying: Lying on your back with the legs bent at the knee and feet flat. Position C Raised Crook: This position can also be carried out with the upper body slightly raised, ensuring the legs are bent at the knee and the feet flat.

After the 12 week programme how often should I use INNOVO? As a general guide we would recommend you reduce the use of INNOVO from 5 days a week after 3 months to 1-2 times a week. This will ensure that the results achieved during the 12 week programme will be sustained. One of the big advantages of using INNOVO is that your awareness of your pelvic floor will have increased so you can also maintain a healthy pelvic floor by doing daily pelvic floor exercises after this time. How do I know when to replace the gel pads on my INNOVO? You should replace your INNOVO gel pads after 60 sessions or 6 months whichever comes first. If they become visibly worn or dried out before this time then you will need to replace them. When this happens you will see a warning symbol on the screen, and you will be unable to carry out a treatment session.

How do you put on the garments? For details on how to put on the garments, ask the customer to watch the instruction video on the website or download the INNOVO app from the App Store / Google Play. If they do not have access to the Internet they can follow the Quick Start Guide included with their INNOVO How long does a session last? Each session lasts 30 minutes on program 1 & 2. If you find it difficult to complete the full 30 minutes session it can be split into two 15 minutes sessions.

I have applied the garments and connected them to the controller and the warning symbol appears that some of the Gel Pads are not connected? (Gel pads may vary from 1 to 8) 1) Ask the customer have they removed all plastic covers from the pads from both sides? 2) Ask the customer to check that the blue and red leads are connected fully to the garment (double clicked). They may appear to be connected but always ask the customer to double check them before removing the garment and checking the pads. 3) If this does not resolve the issue, then ask the customer to ensure all pads are making full contact with the skin. In some cases they may need to remove the garments and re-apply them. 4) 9 out of 10 times the above fixes should work. If the issue persists, ask the customer what pad placement they are using on the garment - they may need to adjust the pads placement from A to B or B to A.

How do you charge the battery on the Innovo? They must connect the charger to the left-hand port in the bottom of the unit they should slide the two white flaps to the right hand side and the charging slot will become visible. Please see the image below How do I switch off the sound? Press and hold both up and down scroll buttons for 1 second this will switch off the controller s sound and you do the same thing again to switch it back on.

If the customer experiences the P1 Flashing on the screen as per below picture, this is an issue with the lead and controller, ask the customer to ensure this is fully plugged into the unit. If this issue persists we would then ask the customer to return the unit and arrange a product complaint and a replacement. This is not an issue with the electrodes.

A warning symbol is flashing with a Exxx appears on the screen? If the E109 appears when trying to charge the INNOVO controller, there is a fault with the battery and it needs to be replaced you must provide the customer with a replacement battery and ask them to follow Page 27 of the manual details on how to replace the battery. For all other Errors with Exxx on controller screen, the product may be faulty and needs to be returned to Atlantic Therapeutics as a full product complaint and a replacement issued on receipt of return tracking details, we do not need to wait until the customers unit arrives back to Galway.
