2 Preface Minimally invasive techniques are gaining importance in many operative fields thus require a continuous improvement both of theoretical knowledge as well as of practical skills. Since 1995 the Aesculap Academy has offered a broad range of endoscopic courses directed by a renown international faculty. Quality is the key this is why all courses are accredited by the respective medical societies. This brochure provides an overview of the international events planned for 2012 in English in the area of General Surgery Urology Detailed programs are available upon request and at Our state-of-the-art training facilities in Tuttlingen (Aesculapium) and Berlin (Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus), offer 6 10 workstations for a maximum of participants. Different training modules have been developed for dry and wet lab training in laparoscopic procedures. Intensive hands-on sessions on animal models prepare for the real case and small working teams are the ideal set-up for an intensive exchange of knowledge. Furthermore a new site for the Aesculap Academy is currently under development at the BioMedizinPark in Bochum. 8 Information Accreditation These activities have been submitted for credit points given by the Landesärztekammer Berlin-Brandenburg and the European Accrediting Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). Hotel Reservation Together with your confirmation of participation you will receive an information leaflet of the hotel where we have booked your accommodation. On receipt of the invoice, we kindly ask you to transfer the participation fee to our account or to fill in the enclosed credit card payment form. Cancellation Terms If a participant cancel his/her registration 4 weeks or more before the beginning of the event, the course fee will be reimbursed in full. After this time and up to 14 days before the seminar begins, we offer to offset the value of the fee by cre diting it to another seminar. If this is not acceptable to the participant, we shall charge an administration fee of 10% or at least Euro. Should a cancellation being made between 14 and 7 days prior to the event, we reserve the right to charge half the participation fee. After this period the full course fee will be charged for cancellation or for non-attendance.
