NUTRIENT FAQs: Why isn t Pure Blend Pro certified organic? Pure Blend Pro is derived from organic and natural sources, including humic acid, guano, kelp and more, but is not 100% organic due to the nature of the extraction process. Can I use humic acid with Pure Blend Pro? Humic acid is already included in all three Pure Blend Pro formulas, but you can add more if desired. What is the difference between Pure Blend Tea and Pure Blend Pro? Pure Blend Tea is an organic compost solution to be used as a supplement with standard plant fertilizers. Pure Blend Pro is a hydroponic or soil stand-alone plant food to be used as a primary fertilizer. When using Pure Blend Pro nutrients, when do you adjust ph? Check and adjust ph after you have mixed nutrient solution into your water but before adding it to your reservoir or soil to achieve maximum nutrient availability. We recommend a ph level of for hydro (except coco), for coco coir and for soil. Is a small amount of sediment normal to see after mixing a solution of Pure Blend Pro? Since the majority of Pure Blend Pro s ingredients were derived from solids, to see sediment within the solution is normal. Is my product still good if it has not been used within the labeled expiration date? Our products are very shelf-stable, and when kept in ideal conditions, have been known to exceed beyond their 1-year expiration date. After adding Pure Blend Pro to my reservoir the ph drops very low. Is this normal or problematic? Experiencing low ph after adding Pure Blend Pro is completely normal. In its concentrated form, Pure Blend Pro is very acidic which helps the product to remain stable during storage and maintain the original composition and quality of the formula. Can Pure Blend Pro be used in DWC and NFT systems? Yes, you can run Pure Blend Pro using any hydroponic method, but we do recommend the widest size lines for drip. We do not recommend using it in aeroponic systems. Why should I use Pure Blend Pro Soil formula? If you re growing in soil or coco, microbes in the rhizosphere will compete with your plants for phosphorus. So we ve added different ratios of NPKs to compensate during the bloom stage. USA2015-1

NUTRIENT KIND plant nutrient system PATENT PENDING KIND is three-part perfection in a nutrient system that requires no additional calcium, magnesium, PK boosters or nitrogen boosters. The KIND system consists of Base ( % calcium), Grow (2-2-4) and Bloom (0-6-6) formulas. KIND Base contains only nitrogen, calcium and bio-stimulants, and is absent of trace minerals and magnesium found in competing brands. This separation allows complete versatility for growers, who can adjust application rates to accommodate source water chemistry, type of medium and plant stage of growth simply by changing the ratio of the KIND Base to either KIND Grow or KIND Bloom % Calcium Use with optional supplements: Rhizo Blast, Silica Blast, Pure Blend Tea, Hydroguard. Suitable for hydro systems, container gardens and soil applications. Available sizes: 1 qt / 1 gal / 2.5 gal / 5 gal / 15 gal / 55 gal 1 QT 1 GAL 2.5 GAL 5 GAL 15 GAL 55 GAL Benefits of KIND: Archaic three-part formulas designed more than 30 years ago were not created for the genetic varieties which have become popular with today s growers. New varieties were selectively bred and chosen for their exceptional performance and vigor in indoor and CO 2 enriched gardens with high light intensity. The increased growth characteristics and heightened aromatic terpene production of today s popular plant varietals require elevated levels of calcium and magnesium to achieve their genetic potential After years of creating supplements to overcome calcium and magnesium deficiencies in nutrient systems, we ve created a breakthrough system. In fact, the science behind the formulation of the KIND nutrient system is so unique that KIND is patent-pending. When using KIND, no supplemental calcium-magnesium, PK or nitrogen boosters are needed, even when growing in coco coir. KIND Base contains high levels of calcium separated from the magnesium and trace minerals. Just manipulate KIND Base to the desired dosage for your particular plants needs and grow medium. Separating the calcium delivers the grower complete versatility. That s why KIND is 100% customizable and unique Every batch of KIND is hand-crafted to ensure quality and consistency, because we understand how important the success of each garden is. Lower quality nutrients cause salt buildup, which forces the grower to constantly flush their medium to prevent lockout, or worse, nutrient burn. Salt buildup can also have an adverse effect on beneficial bacteria and fungi in the root zone. KIND enhances microbial activity in the root zone and promotes a healthier, carbon-rich grow medium. KIND is completely free of dyes and other unnecessary chemicals, and runs clean with out salt buildup.

NUTRIENT Instructions for use: Dilute KIND Base and either KIND Grow or KIND Bloom (depending on plant growth stage) solutions separately before mixing together. Adjust ph before feeding and maintain between (in coco coir) to prevent lockout. Follow application rates and ratios on label, feed sheet and/or nutrient calculator, which can range from 0 to 16 ml per gallon depending on stage of growth. If growing in nutrient-fortified potting soil, or when using supplements, reduce application rates by 25%. Pre-developed recipes and nutrient calculator can be found at botanicare.com. FAQs: When mixing a solution, do I add supplements before or after KIND? When mixing a nutrient solution, mix the KIND before adding supplements, starting with Base plus either Grow or Bloom depending on where you are at in the growing cycle. (Dilute separately, then mix together. Adjust ph before feeding.) Keep in mind that KIND was designed so that no other supplements would be required, but it is compatible with some if so desired. If I do not achieve the recommended PPM in my solution, what product do I add more of? To increase nutrient solution PPM, add both KIND Base and KIND Grow, or KIND Base and KIND Bloom (depending on stage of growth), together in small increments. It is important to maintain an approximate 1 : 2 ratio of KIND Base to KIND Grow or Bloom, so adding increments of 1 ml per gallon Base and 2 ml per gallon of Grow or Bloom at a time is an easy way to increase PPMs as needed while still maintaining optimal nutrient ratios. When can I reduce the Base formulation? Many users will reduce the Base formula when less nitrogen is needed, such as the ripening stage of the last 2 weeks of the growing cycle. Please remember that plants do still require some amount of nitrogen even during bloom, so KIND Base should never be completely eliminated. USA2015-1

High levels of riboflavin, thiamine, pyridoxine, and all of the other B-complex vitamins obtained from fermented yeast extracts are included in Liquid Karma. Plant Extracts: High levels of naturally-occurring plant hormones known as auxins and cytokinins are contained in Liquid Karma. These naturally-occurring hormones promote increased cell division and reproductive functions. This leads to larger fruits and flowers, and a faster onset of the flowering and ripening stage. Humic and Fulvic Acid: These organic acids stimulate the growth of roots, flower sites, and fruit development by maintaining the proper osmotic concentration within the plant cells and enhancing nutrient uptake. Liquid Karma contains optimal amounts of humic acid and fulvic acid. Seaweed Extract: The cold water and sustainably-harvested North Atlantic kelp, ascophyllum nodosum, provides plants with naturally occurring carbohydrates, growth hormones, stimulants, enzymes and trace minerals such as magnesium, potassium, zinc, iron, cobalt, strontium and iodine. Carbohydrates: Highly-digestible sugars help the plant and enhance beneficial microbial activity in the root zone. Yucca Extract: Evenly-distributed moisture in the root zone is critical for healthy root hairs and oxygenation. Yucca extract reduces the surface tension of media to help evenly distribute nutrients and increase nutrient solubility. Instructions for use: Use 5-10 ml per gallon except during ripening, depending on stage of growth. As foliar spray, use 15 ml per 1 gal (3.8 liters) of water. Mix well and adjust ph before feeding or spraying. Pre-developed recipes and nutrient calculator can be found at botanicare.com. FAQs: When should Liquid Karma be used? For best results, Liquid Karma should be used throughout the entire growth cycle from seedling up until ripening. See our suggested feed schedule or the Nutrient Calculator at botanicare.com. My Liquid Karma seems thinner. Has it changed? Liquid Karma has undergone a change in the source of humic acid. The percentage of available humic acid in the current Liquid Karma formula is actually higher than ever, while its consistency is better for hydroponic systems. What makes Liquid Karma opaque and dark? Liquid Karma contains humic acid and organic ingredients which contribute to the product s color. Can I foliar spray with Liquid Karma? Yes, you can foliar spray with Liquid Karma starting from seedling or clone, all the way through transition and early flowering. Liquid Karma contains a wide range of inputs that are extremely beneficial when used in a foliar application, such as seaweed, amino acids, trace minerals, and fulvic acid. We do not recommend applying any product via foliar spray late into flowering, as excess moisture can lead to mold and mildew. Is Liquid Karma organic? Although largely sourced from naturally-occurring materials, Liquid Karma is not 100% organic or OMRI listed. While the majority of the inputs in Liquid Karma are derived from organic sources, there are some manufacturing processes required to increase the product s stability and overall performance which prevent the product from being 100% organic. Does Liquid Karma contain beneficial microbes? No, Liquid Karma is not an active product; however, the wide range of readily-available organics in the formula provides an excellent food source for beneficial microbes and fungi in the rhizosphere. Pre-developed recipes and nutrient calculator can be found at botanicare.com. FAQs: I switch to soil at the bloom stage, will Hydroplex still work? Yes, Hydroplex can be used in every type of hydroponic growing system and in soil. Will Hydroplex raise my PPMs? Just like almost any supplement, adding Hydroplex will raise your PPMs depending on how much you add. Each 1 ml of Hydroplex will increase your nutrient strength by PPM (.7 scale). How does Hydroplex compare to a powdered flower booster? Hydroplex contains the same ratio of P to K as a standard flower booster-1.7 to 1. However, Hydroplex contains additional inputs like organic plant extracts, amino acids, and other plant-enhancing compounds which are not found in other powdered flower boosters. Will Hydroplex replace my existing PK booster, or should I use Hydroplex with other bloom stimulants? Supplementing with additional flower boosters is not necessary or recommended when using Hydroplex. Hydroplex contains the high levels of phosphorus and potassium needed to produce bigger, denser flowers, and is also formulated with a wide range of natural ingredients which increase flavors, aromas, and quality. Can I burn my plants using too much Hydroplex? Hydroplex is extremely concentrated and may cause burn if used in excessive amounts. For this reason we recommend a dosage of 2-4 ml depending on plant variety, growers previous experience, and environment. Usually 2 ml per gallon is more than sufficient to obtain excellent results. 13 ROOTS HYDROGUARD bacillus root inoculant Hydroguard is the only 100% pure Bacillus amyloliquefaciens isolate formula in the hydroponics industry, brought to you exclusively by Botanicare. Developed for the hydroponics industry, rather than being adapted to it, the microbes in Hydroguard rapidly colonize the rhizosphere, amplifying root mass and vigor, activating plants natural defense system, assisting in the breakdown of organic materials, and increasing nutrient availability. There is no other product like it on the shelves. Use with: Any base nutrient, Readygro Super Plugs, Botanicare Power Cloners. Suitable for hydro systems, container gardens and soil applications. Available sizes: 8 oz / 1 qt / 1 gal / 2.5 gal / 5 gal / 15 gal / 55 gal 8 OZ 1 QT 1 GAL 2.5 GAL 5 GAL 15 GAL 55 GAL Benefits of using Hydroguard: Hydroguard helps growers avoid the growth of fungi and pathogens which cause root rot, essentially starving unwanted organisms out by introducing beneficial bacteria to the root zone to compete for nutrients. Botanicare research has shown that delivering only one hardy strain of beneficial bacteria, such as that found in Hydroguard, is actually more effective than adding a variety of them like some other products do. With Hydroguard, nutrients and other beneficial organisms will not become depleted or imbalanced due to an excessively diverse population of bacteria species competing with one another. The Bacillus amyloliquefaciens in Hydroguard live in bigger, more vigorous colonies than the more common Bacillus subtillis species. This enables them to thrive and perform more effectively in extreme growing conditions, producing high levels of beneficial enzymes. The enzymes help plant roots uptake nutrients more easily, reducing excess nutrients which attract pathogens. Hydroguard has the lowest dilution rates of any competing product at only 2 ml per gallon, making it extremely cost-effective for the grower. Hydroguard helps maintain a clean system and healthy root zone 100% naturally, and is OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) listed. With no excess gassing or foul odors common with other beneficial bacteria products, Hydroguard runs clean and does not produce slimy biofilms or cause ph fluctuations.

ROOTS The science behind Hydroguard ingredients: Hydroguard contains an isolated form of Bacillus bacteria known as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. This bacterium was selected specifically for its superior ability to amplify root mass and vigor when compared with the more common and well-known Bacillus subtilis species. Because the Bacillus amyloliquefaciens in Hydroguard live in bigger, more vigorous colonies than the more common Bacillus subtillis species, they thrive and perform more effectively in extreme and unfavorable conditions like those found in hydroponic gardening. Scientifically small-batch cultured, the bacteria strain in Hydroguard was chosen specifically for its effectiveness in water-borne environments. Upon application, the highly-concentrated and pure culture of Bacillus bacteria contained in Hydroguard rapidly colonizes the rhizosphere, activating the plant s natural defense system, assisting in the breakdown of organic materials, and increasing nutrient availability. The single strain of bacteria in Hydroguard out-competes foreign organisms, while competing products which contain several different strains of bacteria are actually less effective because they compete for the same food. Instructions for use: Use at every watering at the rate of 2 ml per gallon (3.8 liters) at every stage of growth except ripening. FAQs: When is the best time to use Hydroguard? The best time to use Hydroguard is from the start, to prevent any root disease from setting in. Hydroguard is much more effective as a preventative measure towards root diseases rather than a reactionary treatment. Is Hydroguard similar to Aquashield? Hydroguard s formula is the successor to Aquashield, although it does contain a bacterium similar to (but superior over) the bacterium previously used in the Aquashield formula. Will Hydroguard raise my PPM / TDS / EC / ph? No, Hydroguard is neutral and will not affect total nutrient strength, nor will it raise or lower nutrient solution ph. Is Hydroguard safe to use with my current nutrient schedule? Yes, Hydroguard is highly effective in all media and growing environments. Can I burn my plants using too much Hydroguard? No, Hydroguard will not burn plants. Although not harmful to plant growth when used at higher rates, Hydroguard is extremely concentrated and the recommended dosages are more than sufficient to achieve maximum effectiveness. Is Hydroguard compatible with enzyme products, such as Hygrozyme? The beneficial bacteria in Hydroguard is compatible with products containing both live and sterile enzymes and will not be harmed if used in combination. Is Hydroguard compatible with hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 )? No, Hydroguard contains beneficial bacteria which is killed by hydrogen peroxide on contact. Additionally, Hydroguard should not be exposed to dilute solutions of bleach or other commercially-available sanitizers, specifically oxidizing agents. Is Hydroguard compatible with other beneficial microbe products? Hydroguard is compatible with most beneficial microbial products, but use of multiple Bacillus-containing products should be avoided to reduce competition between the organisms. One exception to this is B. thuringiensis (BT). Mycorrhizal fungi and/or nitrogen-fixing bacteria products may also be used with Hydroguard. USA2015-1

The science behind Sweet ingredients: Organic acids: Elevated levels of citric acid, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) promote the relief of plant stress caused as gardeners increase CO 2 concentrations and light intensity. Organic acids also enhance natural metabolism, and provide extra fuel to carry out the demands of heavy fruit and flower development. Vitamins: B-complex vitamins from fermented yeast extract act as energy reserves for your plants during their most stressful growth phases like transition and early flowering. Maintaining optimum health throughout this transition phase plays a critical role in consistently achieving the best results in accelerated growth environments. Amino acids: Amino acid compounds are created in one part of a plant and then translocated (carried) to remote areas of the plant where they function as specific biochemical signals correlating the growth of different plant parts. In indoor gardening and other accelerated growing environments, this natural balance is strained. All of the major amino acids in Sweet help restore balance and help your plants reach peak crop production. Natural esters: Berry, grape, and citrus esters enhance flavors and aromas. Essential secondary/trace elements: Magnesium, iron, sulfur, boron, manganese, zinc, copper, and molybdenum are even more needed by plants during the flowering phase. Sweet is fortified with the ideal levels of these secondary and trace elements your plants need most when flowering. Polyphenolic compounds: Act as antioxidants for more vigorous, healthy growth. These antioxidant compounds also neutralize oxygen radicals (which hinder photosynthesis) caused by excessively intense or overly direct lighting. FAQs: What makes Sweet Raw different than the other Sweet formulas? The only difference is that Sweet Raw does not contain any esters. What are esters? Esters are naturally-occurring compounds which are responsible for the unique smells and aromas characteristic of many fruits. Plants can t metabolize them, and instead they store them in their leaves and flowers. Different esters are included in Sweet to provide the characteristic citrus, berry, and grape aromas specific to each formula. Should I use Sweet during the flush stage? No. Providing beneficial compounds to a plant during a flush negates its effectiveness, as the objective of the flush stage is to leach any remaining mineral salts away from the root zone. Sweet contains significant levels of magnesium; therefore, it is not recommended that you continue using it. A flushing agent such as Clearex would be recommended. USA2015-1

CLEAREX rinsing solution Clearex is a flushing solution that dissolves nutrient salts on contact and safely removes them from any grow medium. Over-fertilization and high concentrations of mineral-based nutrients can lead to excess salt buildup, which can result in nutrient lockout and damaged grow media. Clearex draws salts away from plant roots and grow media while helping to maintain balance during periodic or pre-harvest flushing. Suitable for: Any type of hydro system or container garden, any grow medium. Available sizes: 8 oz / 1 qt / 1 gal / 2.5 gal / 5 gal / 15 gal / 55 gal 8 OZ 1 QT 1 GAL 2.5 GAL 5 GAL 15 GAL 55 GAL Benefits of using Clearex: Clearex is formulated to bind with nutrient salts, safely removing them from both plant roots and from grow media itself in recirculating systems or hydroponic container gardens. It can be used safely between nutrient changes and before harvesting crops. Easier on plants than flushing with plain water, Clearex gently and effectively flushes out excess nutrient buildup without damaging root hairs. Flushing with tap or plain filtered water lowers the osmotic pressure outside the cell walls, starving the plant of essential electrolytes and nutrients. Clearex safely pulls salts away from plant roots and grow media while maintaining optimal cell rigidity and pressure during both periodic and pre-harvest flushing. Clearex eliminates the excessive buildup of salts leading to nutrient lockout. When used pre-harvest, Clearex assists in triggering the ripening stage of the plant cycle. Clearex contains specific mono and disaccharides which provide energy for the biosynthesis of important plant metabolites and macromolecules which helps to ripen crops. Clearex enhances the quality of your crops. Flushing with Clearex prior to harvest enhances the flavor and aromas in fruits, vegetables, and culinary herbs.

Instructions for use: Use at a dilution rate of 10 ml per gallon (3.8 l). Use Clearex only with pure water. Mix well and adjust ph before applying. For recirculating hydroponic systems: Between nutrient changes: Drain all existing nutrient solution. Add only Clearex and fresh water, and allow it to recirculate in your system for approximately two hours. Drain completely and refill reservoir with fresh nutrient solution. Pre-harvest: Drain all existing nutrient solution. Refill reservoir with only Clearex and fresh water. Begin applying Clearex solution during the last 3-7 days before harvest during the ripening phase. For container gardens: Between nutrient changes: Drench thoroughly with Clearex solution until there is 20-40% runoff from the bottom of the pot. Resume regular feeding with your next scheduled watering. Pre-harvest: Drench daily until 10-20% runoff is achieved from the container. Begin running Clearex solution during the last 3-7 days before harvest during the ripening phase. FAQs: Should I use Clearex at every feeding? No, Clearex should only be used as a flushing agent. It is recommended that you use Clearex prior to harvest, or during a nutrient water change if you see salt buildup or suspect nutrient lockout. Should I use Clearex by itself or with a nutrient solution? Clearex is meant to assist in leaching and flushing minerals from plant roots and grow media and should only be mixed and used with filtered water. Does Clearex require ph adjusting? Yes, it is recommended that you check and adjust ph after mixing and before running Clearex through your grow medium or adding it to your hydroponic recirculating system. How soon after using Clearex can I begin applying nutrients again? After using Clearex, resume regular feeding with your next scheduled watering to avoid nutrient deficiency or imbalance. Previous Clearex labels listed sucrose and glucose, but now only list citric acid. Has the formula changed? The formula has not been altered in any way. Only the label has been changed. Due to registration regulatory requirements, we were forced to remove sucrose and glucose from the guaranteed minimum analysis. Citric acid has always been in the product s formula, but was not previously listed in the guaranteed analysis. USA2015-1

SILICA BLAST plant supplement Silica Blast strengthens and enhances plant tissue leading to bigger harvests, increased fruit quality, and a higher resistance to stress. As it is absorbed, this highlyavailable form of silica creates a silicate matrix within the cell walls of your plant. This helps physically increase cell wall structure while protecting against external stressors such as heat, cold, and pests Use with: Any base nutrient, Seaplex, Liquid Karma. Suitable for hydro systems, container gardens and soil applications. Available sizes: 8 oz / 1 qt / 1 gal / 2.5 gal / 5 gal / 15 gal / 55 gal 8 OZ 1 QT 1 GAL 2.5 GAL 5 GAL 15 GAL 55 GAL Benefits of using Silica Blast: Growing plants with Silica Blast throughout the vegetative cycle increases stem and stalk strength, building a better base for the support of higher fruit and flower yields. The 2% silicon (derived from potassium silicate) in Silica Blast correlates to the amount that plants can actually uptake. Silica Blast can be used in conjunction with any existing nutrient program during the vegetative and bloom cycles. Silica Blast forms a protective barrier in the root zone which helps maintain optimum nutrient uptake and utilization. The silicate in Silica Blast increases resistance to environmental stress by encouraging the formation of a silicate matrix which reduces transpiration and strengthens plant cell walls. This allows plants to continue photosynthesis under extreme high and low temperatures, and provides increased endurance during drought conditions, salt buildup, and nutrient toxicity. The silicate matrix in plant tissue which forms with the use of Silica Blast acts as a shield to protect plants against potential attacks of pathogens. Some growers find that foliar spraying with Silica Blast can be useful against powdery mildew.

Instructions for use: Use 2-5 ml per gallon (3.8 liters) of water with base nutrients at every stage of growth. Always adjust ph before adding to reservoir or soil. Use as a foliar spray at a dilution rate of 2 ml per gallon. Pre-developed recipes and nutrient calculator can be found at botanicare.com. FAQs: Why is there potassium in Silica Blast? Silica Blast contains potassium because the source of silicate used in the formula is potassium silicate, which is one of the few plant-available sources of silica for plant nutrition. When is the best time to apply Silica Blast? From seedling to fruit, Silica Blast will maintain strengthened cell walls and reduce environmental stress. When mixing nutrients, should I add Silica Blast before or after adding other supplements? Silica Blast should be the last product added to the nutrient solution. Silica Blast tends to increase the ph of the nutrient solution so test and adjust ph using ph Down or a similar product after adding to your reservoir. Can I use Silica Blast as a foliar spray? Silica Blast can be used as a foliar spray at lower application rates. To prepare a foliar spray, mix 2 ml of Silica Blast into one gallon of RO water, and spray no more than 2-3 times per week. 21 CAL-MAG PLUS calcium, magnesium & iron Cal-Mag Plus was formulated to correct deficiencies in existing nutrient programs. It provides a precise balance and optimal ratio of calcium, magnesium, and iron critical throughout all stages of growth, especially in heavily fruiting plants and fast-blooming annuals Use with: Any base nutrient except KIND, Coco-based grow mediums, RO water. Suitable for hydroponic, container and soil applications. Available sizes: 8 oz / 1 qt / 1 gal / 2.5 gal / 5 gal / 15 gal / 55 gal 8 OZ 1 QT 1 GAL 2.5 GAL 5 GAL 15 GAL GAL GAL Benefits of using Cal-Mag Plus: Cal-Mag Plus is the industry s leading calcium and magnesium supplement developed specifically to correct deficiencies in hydroponic gardening. Use with every feeding or watering at the recommended application rates to prevent against calcium, magnesium and iron-related nutritional deficiencies including stunted growth, yellowing leaves and veins, and deformations occurring in new growth. For use with leafy greens, fruits and all flower-bearing plants. Helps prevent blossom end rot in tomatoes and peppers and reduces tip burn in lettuce. Increases flower and fruit set development. Cal-Mag Plus keeps plants healthy when growing in coco coir and when using reverse osmosis (RO) filtered water. Coco coir tends to draw calcium away from plants, while filtered water has few to no minerals in it. Cal-Mag provides just the ratio of calcium and magnesium your plants need. The Cal-Mag Plus formula acts as a catalyst when used along with nutrient systems to accelerate cell-division, strengthen plant tissue, and increase plant uptake of essential nutrients, water and carbon dioxide. Cal-Mag Plus contains chelated iron, a highly plant-available form which plants can easily absorb at varying ph ranges. This iron helps plants uptake the other nutrients they need when growing in stressful environments. Fortified with over 72 trace minerals, Cal-Mag Plus corrects deficiencies, and encourages healthy new growth. Cal-Mag Plus is more complete than other brands because in addition to calcium and magnesium, it contains iron, boron, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, copper, cobalt, iodine, beneficial vitamins, twenty essential amino acids, and select botanical plant extracts which increase growth rates and accelerate crop maturity.

Instructions for use: Use 2-5 ml per gallon (3.8 liters) of water depending on stage of growth. Use 5 ml per gallon of water as a foliar spray. Always adjust ph before adding to reservoir, soil or using as a spray. Pre-developed recipes and nutrient calculator can be found at botanicare.com. FAQs: What is the ratio of calcium to magnesium in Cal-Mag Plus? The ratio is 3:1 calcium to magnesium, which is known to be ideal for plant nutrient uptake and cation balance in hydroponic nutrient solutions. What does the Plus in Cal-Mag Plus mean? The Plus refers to the iron, organic acids, vitamins, and over 72 trace minerals also contained in the formula. These additional elements help the calcium and magnesium actually get absorbed by plants. Will the iron in Cal-Mag Plus harm beneficial microbes? There are no components in Cal-Mag Plus that are inherently toxic to any beneficial microbes or fungi. Iron EDTA is technically toxic to fungi at extremely high concentrations exceeding 10,000 PPMs, but the amount of chelated iron within Cal-Mag Plus is far below the concentration level which could harm any microbes. What color and consistency should Cal-Mag Plus be? Cal-Mag Plus should be a slightly translucent amber color. Slight cloudiness may be present as a result of the vitamins and amino acids in the formula. Should I use Cal-Mag Plus on my seedlings and cuttings? Yes, it is highly recommended that seedlings or cuttings with established roots be given Cal-Mag Plus to deliver them essential magnesium and calcium. (Until roots emerge from cuttings, they should not be given any nutrients.) Can I use Cal-Mag Plus in the late blooming stage? Cal-Mag Plus should be used during all stages of plant growth as calcium is an essential plant nutrient and calcium deficiency is frequently seen within hydroponic cultivation. See our pre-developed recipes at botanicare.com for exact recommendations. Will the iron in Cal-Mag Plus be affected by my magnetic pump? The iron present in Cal-Mag Plus (iron EDTA) is non-magnetic, and will not be removed from the nutrient solution by the pump. You won t need to purchase a grounding probe, and if you follow the recommended application rates, you shouldn t notice any iron deficiencies in the plants. USA2017-1
