The uniformity index (UI) of a granular fertilizer is defined as the ratio between larger and smaller granules of a specific blend multiplied by 100. A UI of 100 denotes that all blended particles are the same size. A higher UI denotes better quality fertilizer blends which result in more even distribution of nutrients on the golf course or sports field.
