3 A warm welcome Dear guest, On behalf of Prof. Joachim Pfeil and Mathys Ltd Bettlach, we cordially welcome you to the Hip Symposium Hip Arthroplasty Today in Wiesbaden, Germany. This conference addresses current topics in primary hip arthroplasty. During the two days in Wiesbaden, we want to stimulate the discussion about optimization of hip function based on restored biomechanics. Further, we would like to provide insights into the scientific fundamentals and clinical results with the optimys calcar-guided short stem.
