BodyWorksBall
BodyworksBall Description In today s fast paced world of smartphones and tablets, we all find ourselves hunched over and texting all day long, whether working in an office or on the go. Our minds are working, but our bodies suffer. This portable and affordable self-massage tool is a great and easy way to give your body the quick break it needs. Therapeutic Benefits This self-massage product is a great addition to your Guest s at home self-care regimen. The BodyworksBall can help to alleviate painful knots, sore and stressed muscles, allows for deeper pressure on hard to reach areas, plus this tool is self-directing which allows for more control to help ease tension. In addition to their regular massage sessions, with the help of the BodyworksBall, your Guest can now commit even more to their personal well-being. Cautions and Contraindications DO NOT roll along the spinal column or hang the BodyworksBall around the neck. DO NOT roll against raised asbestos, plastar aparis or any raised custom wall paint or décor. Move hair to the side/front to avoid getting tangled. Follow proper positioning as outlined in the owner s manual. Be sure to reference the BodyworksBall web-site for more information: If you experience any unusual pain or discomfort, discontinue use and consult your physician. Stay hydrated. Keep away from children. Materials and Cleaning Instructions The BodyworksBall rubber is made of non-marking rubber, which allows it to be used against most wall. The BodyworksBall bungee cord is made of marine grade antimicrobial material that can be dipped directly into water. To clean the BodyworksBall, use any mild cleaning agent. 2
Instructions The BodyworksBall can be used to alleviate pain and tension in various areas of the body. When recommending the BodyworksBall to your Guests, use the following instructions based on their specific need. In addition, direct the Guest to the owner s manual for more information. Area of Body NECK, SHOULDERS, UPPER BACK GLUTE, LOW BACK PIRIFORMIS, SCIATICA IT BAND CALF SHIN FOOT WRIST/FOREARM Recommended Instruction In a standing position, leaning against a wall place ball over shoulder to area needing massage. Feet should be 10 from the wall (move feet closer to the wall for less pressure, further away from the wall for more pressure). Begin moving down & up (slight squat) then side to side, being mindful to avoid rolling directly on the spine. Always remember to move hair to side/front to avoid getting tangled in rubber ball. Always roll both sides equally. Standing against a wall, place ball on lower back, glute and begin moving body up and down, side to side using caution not to roll directly on bones. In a standing position, leaning against the wall for balance, step through the middle of the bungee cord. Slide ball to upper hip, glut, back, move back and forth and in circular motion over areas needing pressure point release. In a standing position, leaning against the wall for balance, step through the middle of the bungee cord. Slide ball to side of hip, gently move body up and down against the ball from the top of the hip down to the side of the knee. In a seated position on the floor, place calf through the center of the bungee, allow the weight of the calf to press on the ball, roll back and forth. In a side seated position on the floor, place shin through center of bungee and slowly roll shin back and forth. This can be performed in a standing or seated position. Place ball under the arch of the foot. Roll back and forth being mindful to avoid rolling directly on any bone spurs. This can be performed in a standing position (against a wall), or rolling on a desk/counter surface (preferred). Place ball on desk/counter (or against a wall), use the handle to assist to hold in place. Roll hands, wrist, forearm. 3
Recommended Retail Commission Teamwork makes the dream work! This is how we will be the most successful in selling our new (and already established) retail items! Our team members will need to combine their efforts in recommending and selling our products. The efforts put forth on both sides with the Therapist performing the services and recommending a retail item and the LC assisting the Guest after the service using the Therapist recommendation, will greatly increase all team member commissions The recommended commission will remain the same as the other retail items with each team member earning 10% of the total sales price. Massage Therapist Team Member Training Make sure you have scheduled time to train your Team Members. Thoroughly review the benefits of this therapeutic product and allow your Team to test the product too! Recommending Overview and Techniques It is our duty as massage therapists to provide a great consultation and to educate our Guests on how they can help alleviate their pain and stress. This means we should be educating everyone. We offer phenomenally therapeutic services and products, and we should share that knowledge with our Guests. In addition to following the 6 steps of the Guest Education, it is recommended that you incorporate the following when recommending a product, or the BodyworksBall: Utilize the Recommended Regimen Form to remind guests of their self-care regimen and any product Recommendation Instead of simply handing the RRF to the guest, take a moment to explain what your recommendations are and what you have written on the RRF. Always write a recommended product on the product line the RRF, even if you do not get the opportunity to talk about it. You never know if the guest will read that and purchase the item. If you have the opportunity to spend more time with the Guest and show how the BodyworksBall can help to alleviate their pain, take a minute or two to do that. Example Script MT: Gretchen, you ve mentioned that you often work at a computer and suffer from shoulder tension during the work day. To help alleviate this pain in-between sessions, I m recommending that you use our new BodyworksBall (explain how to use the product using the instructions above). 4
Lifestyle Consultant Team Member Training Recommending Overview The BodyWorksBall has many benefits for at home self-care therefore the therapist is the expert on discussing techniques with the guests however as Lifestyle Consultants, we can be prepared with knowledge on the product when a guest asks. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the education listed above. Example Script LC: Ms. Crawley, earlier you said you ve been having some pain from your sore muscles after working out, the BodyWorksBall would be great for you! There are many techniques you can do with this product, let me show you the different uses with this pamphlet (explain how to use the product using the instructions above and the pamphlet it comes with). 5
