4 There are four components to the client-facing FYZICAL technology package that allow FYZICAL therapists, physicians and audiologists to serve their clients in ways not available to competitor therapy centers. BODYQ FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers offer BODYQ, an app-based health and fitness assessment tool invented by physical therapists, balance experts, and medical doctors. 5 BODYQ is a screening tool that identifies muscular imbalances and helps physical therapists and fitness experts design individualized, medically-based therapy and exercise programs. BODYQ screens for strength, flexibility, vision and hearing - all of which can affect balance. It further allows for on-going review by BODYQ technicians to focus on body areas that require further conditioning and development. Ultimately, the feedback from BODYQ tracks and guides a clients progress to become the best version of themselves. BODYQ will create a predictive score, based on the FYZICAL proprietary falls risk algorithm, that gives American adults a numeric score of their future falls risk. Safety Overhead Support TM The proprietary Safety Overhead Support (SOS) system was developed at FYZICAL. The SOS is a ceiling-mounted rail system that is rated to over 650 pounds. Each FYZICAL center will have at least ten linear feet of ceiling rail. Some FYZICAL centers have over one-hundred feet of ceiling rail so multiple people can receive safe therapy treatment at one time. A special, quick-release lanyard is attached to a snug, full-support harness, similar to what rock climbers use to prevent falls.

In comparison to the older gait belts and parallel bars, clients in the SOS system cannot fall down and get injured.

The FYZICAL technology package also includes a diagnostic force plate the patient stands on to measure balance, sway, reaction to sudden forces and balance with eyes closed. FYZICAL has partnered with manufacturers who develop this NASA-level technology and private-label force plates for FYZICAL centers that can cost up to $100,000. The plates utilize strain-bar technology instead of older, spring technology. The load cells sense thousands of inputs from the patient s feet and lower extremities as they stand on the force plate. Pictured below is the Computerized Dynamic Posturography System (CDP) that defines the most advanced FYZICAL centers in America.

9 Figure 5: The Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP) system Infrared Video Laser Goggles Infrared video laser goggles (IVOG) are the fourth component of the FYZICAL technology four-pack. The IVOG are used to track minute eye movements that are evident when people experience spinning, dizziness and vertigo. The physical therapist will perform positional testing by asking the patient to lie down, roll over to both sides and sit up while wearing the goggles. The lasers record minute eyeball response to these changing positions that are too small or too fast for the unaided clinician to see.

These centers are called FYZICAL Dizziness & Falls Prevention Centers. Otolaryngologists and audiologists recognize that a FYZICAL Dizziness & Falls Prevention Center allows them to help an underserved population of people who would not ordinarily have access to physical therapy. Falls are the leading cause of both fatal and nonfatal injuries among older Americans. Sixtythree million Americans need balance therapy due to vestibular dysfunction. Hearing, dizziness and vertigo rank among the most frequent reasons why people are seeing their primary care physicians. Using high-tech equipment to diagnose and treat dizziness, the patient can understand what is happening and why.
