RELEVANT EXPERIENCE I currently work for an NHS project providing psychological consultancy to Probation on working with Offenders with Personality Disorder. referrals@carterbrownexperts.co.uk
2 Previously I worked for St Andrew s Healthcare. My focus was predominantly on female patients with a primary diagnosis of Personality Disorder. Many patients have additional psychiatric history, substance addictions, and prior offending behaviour. Prior to this I worked for the NHS on a low secure psychiatric ward. Patients all had enduring mental health needs and / or Personality Disorder complicated by offending behaviour, substance misuse or risky behaviour (towards self or others). I work in assessment and treatment. I provide short and long-term therapies targeting patient s individual needs. I have experience working for the Prison Service, both in research at the Offending Behaviour Programme Unit and in clinical services managing and delivering the CALM (Controlling Anger and Learning to Manage It) programme in the Kent Surrey and Sussex area. During my training (MSc & PhD) my research was focused on adults (male and female) who sexually offend against children. The research explored both assessment and treatment. For full details of work history please refer to the attached Appendix. REPORTS I write bespoke assessment reports answering a variety of diagnostic and treatment questions for a number of sources. I undertake Serious Incident Investigations and Complaint Investigations within the work place. I have experience in contributing to care plan review reports, risk assessments and general assessments, and in writing and editing offending behaviour treatment reports. Independent Clinical Psychologist part time (Nov 2015 current) I work part time as an independently psychologist. I am registered with The Roehampton Psychiatric Group and Carter Brown Associates to undertake assessments instructed by solicitors for the purpose of the Courts answering a variety of diagnostic and treatment questions.
