During this period I managed to build up my confidence in all aspects of medicine. I learned the supervised management of the common diseases as well as emergencies such as Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation in a busy Teaching hospital covering the North of Dublin City. There were also regular nights on-call, clinical meetings, ward rounds, lectures and exams both in hospitals and the university.
