6 Social Justice In America The need to balance individual rights and public order results in the need for social justice. Justice: the principle of fairness; the ideal of moral equity. Social Justice: the whole enchilada; balances individual rights and need for order and considers all aspects of life. Criminal Justice: The part of Social Justice that deals with criminal offenses of Social Justice Civil Justice: Dealings between citizens that are not considered criminal in nature
