2 TTI Emotional Quotient Response Instructions EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE The following pages include questions designed to assess your level of emotional intelligence. Read each statement and use the following rating scale to determine the most accurate description of yourself: 1. Very Inaccurate 2. Somewhat Inaccurate 3. Neither Inaccurate nor Accurate 4. Somewhat Accurate 5. Very Accurate Describe yourself as you generally are now, not as you wish to be in the future. Describe yourself as you honestly see yourself in relation to other people you know of the same gender and roughly of the same age.
3 1. I believe anything worth doing is worth doing well. 2. I feel sympathy for those who are worse off than myself. 3. I find it easy to establish common ground with somebody I have just met. 4. I am calm even in tense situations. 5. I know I can find a solution to even the most difficult problem. 6. I am good at reading what other people are feeling.

I consider all of the options when making an important decision. 23. Receiving feedback presents opportunity for personal growth. 24. I can sense someone s true feelings based on their body language.

Nonverbal messages, such as tone of voice, gestures and facial expressions, say a lot about how someone else is feeling. 28. The emotional tone of an interaction is easy to decipher. 29. When in a bad mood, I make a conscious effort to improve it. 30. I rely on my intuition to assist me in my decision-making.
