8 Benefits of Participation Certification The QOPI Certification Program provides a three-year certification for outpatient hematology-oncology practices Certification is based on practice achievement in two areas: Meeting scoring requirements during a QOPI collection round for the subset of QOPI measures selected for Certification Demonstrating compliance with a subset of ASCO/ONS Chemotherapy Safety Standards selected for Certification Copyright 2011 American Society of Clinical Oncology. Your practice will receive recognition from the QOPI Certification Program for commitment to high quality care and demonstration that a certain level of performance has been met. QOPI Certification may satisfy requirements by health plans for demonstration of quality oncology care and participation in quality improvement activities. Certification status will be a clear designation from the QOPI Certification Program that you can refer to in practice communications and marketing materials. The QOPI Certification program is the first of its kind for outpatient hematology-oncology practices. Your practice can be out in front in your commitment to delivering high quality oncology care. 10 Benefits of Participation ABIM MOC QOPI data can be used to meet the ABIM s practice Performance Improvement Module (PIM) requirement for Maintenance of Certification Any physician at a participating site may use the practice site QOPI data for ABIM PIM Oncologists manually enter selected QOPI data into ABIM's Self-directed PIM at the ABIM website Physician identifies opportunity to improve and describes improvement plan Physician implements the plan, re-measures after at least 2 weeks, then enters updated measure results at ABIM website ABIM awards 20 points for completion of PIM For more information, visit qopi.asco.org Copyright 2011 American Society of Clinical Oncology.
