Minor: Biology Research Focus Throughout my professional career, I have been committed to bringing the laboratory methods of biological anthropology to behavioral primatology, combining evolutionary and mechanistic levels of analysis, bridging field and captive studies, and fostering interdisciplinary research. Hormonebehavior interactions in wild primates are a major focus of my research. My laboratory has been a leader in the development of noninvasive methods of hormone analysis, adapting these assays to a wide range of species an providing laboratory training to graduate students. My collaborators and I have used these methods to study the adaptive functions and mechanisms of behaviors such as competition and mate choice, dominance, infanticide, and friendships. Positions Held 2003-Present Professor, Department of Anthropology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia Associate Professor, Department of Anthropology, Emory University 1
