The CSCPF Denver Ark (DA) Chaplain Community plays a vital role in evaluating whether members meet the criteria to become CSCPF board certified or re certified as chaplains, pastoral counselors or both. The DA seeks members committed to excellence in chaplaincy through exchanging honest and caring peer appraisals during case presentations. Community membership replaces the closely knit groups formed during clinical pastoral education. The DA promotes professional and ethical standards for chaplains and pastoral counselors under the leadership of JJ Pooley (founder). JJ provides member support, moderates meetings, and manages the DA s fiscal responsibilities. She also trains new leaders on how to establish a viable community and implement the CSCPF certification process. DA honors religious and cultural diversity by encouraging members to share their prayers, devotional readings and practices during monthly meetings. JJ s challenge is to build diversity without turning away like minded individuals. JJ welcomes dialogue with other communities on how they approach this issue. JJ s vision for DA is to attract individuals committed to meeting attendance, case presentations, participation in continuing education programs, and adherence to the high ethical standards and obligations associated with chaplaincy, pastoral counseling, ministry and/or spiritual practitioner. perhaps power is letting go of the grip of the past and standing empty handed facing the future -- terri st.cloud BoneSighArts.com BoneSighArts.com and Terri St Cloud have generously offered her work to support and inspire us! Thank you Terri for gracing our organization with your Spirit. Go to BoneSighArts.com and be inspired by this amazing woman! DA supports local continuing education initiatives. For example, DA has collaborated with Paula Belleggie in promoting events sponsored by Spiritual Living Center for Education and Training. DA has also supported Linda Holloway s chaplaincy ministry, Bessie's Hope, that trains at risk youth who interact with nursing home residents.
