SAMPLE PAPER,TERM-I SESSION 2017-18 CLASS VI SCIENCE Time : 3 Hrs. Maximum Marks: 80 General Instructions: Question paper is divided into two sections A and B. Section - A consists of questions from Physics and Chemistry and Section B consists of questions from Biology. Marks are written in front of each question. There is no overall choice although internal choice is given in five mark questions. Write the serial number of the question before attempting. Draw the diagrams neatly with the help of sharp pencil. SECTION A 1. Fill in the blanks: (0.5x8 =4) (a) An electric cell produces electricity from the stored inside it. (b) reflection gives us clear images. Who would be able to prepare saturated solution and why? (b) Riya took a small cotton ball and placed it in a bowl filled with water. She observed it for atleast 15 minutes. What will she observe after 15 minutes? Explain the reason for her observation. (c) What type of material would you recommend to laminate your photograph? Justify your answer. (d) When you burn incense stick, it produces some new substances. What are these substances? What type of change does it indicate? Give a similar example where such type of change is involved.
