9TH ANNUAL VANDERB PURPOSE AND TARGET AUDIENCE This annual review of stroke prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation is designed to provide the most current information on the diagnosis and medical management of stroke for primary care physicians, internists, cardiologists, neurologists, EMTs, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation therapists. It will feature sessions focusing on emergency management, cerebral hemorrhage, secondary stroke prevention, intracranial vascular disease, venous causes of stroke, and use of transcranial doppler ultrasound. LEARNING OBJECTIVES After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss: 1. Triage and ED management of stroke patients 2. Secondary stroke prevention measures 3. Treatment of intracranial arterial stenosis REGISTRATION FEE Your registration fee includes attendance at all sessions, the course syllabus, CME credit, continental breakfast, refreshment breaks, and lunch. BILT STROKE SYMPOSIU The Vanderbilt School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
