With the Lodge going non-smoking we are seeing a lot of new faces and we look forward to that trend continuing. As you may or may not know we are a 501c(8) organization and in order for our non-tax status to remain we are bound by the IRS regulations. Be mindful that our bi-laws have some very specific language. Every new member receives a copy of The General Laws and I would urge each of you to become familiar with The Private Policy on pages 143-145. These guidelines spell out those things we must conform to in order for our tax free status to remain in force. Please know you may only bring a guest, exception being a spouse, twice before they must become a member if they wish to enjoy our facilities. Also any guest is only welcome in our Lodge while the member is present. No guest, including a spouse, may purchase anything or participate in any games. Additionally, each time you bring a guest, including a spouse, you must sign them in. We ask that each time you enter you show your Moose ID prior to any purchase including food. Both the LOOM 1297 and the WOTM Chapter 562 are waiving the initiation fee of $20 for the balance of our physical year ending April 30, 2018 in an effort to encourage new members. The annual dues are still only $50 for men and $30 for the women. We are here for the main purpose of supporting Moose Charities and its Endowment Fund which operates and finances Mooseheart and Moosehaven. With the issues we are facing to finish the project outside including the property transfer to our East and the Tiki bar it has been suggested by some of our members to outline the steps necessary with their associated costs in hopes we could encourage financial or in kind donations from our members and vendors. Included in this newsletter is that list. We plan on recognizing those who contribute with a nice plaque in the Tiki Hut. We will also track our progress monthly. The time of the year is upon us to choose a new Board of Officers. A time line is posted throughout the Lodge with forms available at the front door for those interested in running for an office. Thank you to all who continue to supported our efforts and attended the Lodge meetings each 1 st and 3 rd Saturdays each Month at 10: AM. Thank you all for your continued patronage of our Lodge and to all the new faces we see enjoying our fraternity. Please show your MID card each time you visit. See you around the Lodge, Jeff Page 1 of 6

This along with our many other entertaining evenings. We have many fund raisers throughout the year for many different things. We all must remember the most important are our Moose Charities, i.e. Mooseheart & Moosehaven. Our lodge does very well with these charities and makes a huge difference. I look forward to seeing all of you around the lodge, Kevin News from the Senior Regent, Geri Hineline Just want everyone know the yard sale was very successful, thank you for all your donations. You may notice a box in the social quarters, the W.O.T.M. is doing a diaper and baby wipes drive for the month of March. The foundation supplies to the Foster Parents in our area. So please help us.
