Call Chris to sign-up, up to September 9 th. Sunday, October 7 th Fleet Week event on the Bay aboard the Freida B yacht. Will depart from Sausilito at high noon, returning at 4pm. Featuring the Blue Angels precision flying team. A light lunch and drinks will be served EVENT FILLED Saturday, October 20 th CORA American Legion Hall, Pacifica. A great charity fund-raiser. See lodge website for flyer Sunday, December 9 th Annual Lodge Holiday Party, Elks Lodge, San Mateo Co-chaired by Tammy and Tom Manini. Saturday, January 12 th, 2013 Installation Dinner, San Mateo Marriott. Details to follow.

3 The Charity Committee reports that the bowling event held on Sunday, August 19th,, at Brentwood Bowl, in South San Francisco, was a success. There were 17 bowlers from the lodge, and several other members who came to support the bowlers in their fund raising efforts. They bowled for 2 hours, and had a 50/50 raffle. Terry Giannini was the winner, and it pulled in $75. The lodge ended up donating $1000. The amount raised from bowling was $ The Committee Chairs would like to thank everyone who donated to the potluck. On Sunday, August 5 th, twenty-three lodge members and guests headed eastward on a bus to Black Oak Casino in Sonora. They left early from Foster City, enjoying coffee and pastries while they made their way over hill and dale until they reached their destination. One of the guests, a friend of Chris Zeck s, who was also the traveling magician, was the big winner of the day. The group gathered back together for a delicious lunch buffet, enjoyed by all. On the way home, a stop was made in Manteca at the Bass Pro Shop, which is always to walk around. Chris, another job well done!

4 TREATS RESPONSIBILITY Each meeting we bring wonderful treats to our lodge. Anyone doing this realizes it is a LOT of work! Most of us just do it once a year, so it maybe hard to remember what is required. Following is a checklist to help when you are bringing treats: 1) Sign up with Chris Zeck (415) or at a lodge meeting to arrange to bring treats 2) The treats limit is $150.00, excluding drinks and paper products. They are already at the Lodge. 3) Arrive at the hall by 7:00pm, and arrange access by getting the lodge key from any of our five elected officers (see list at top of newsletter) 4) Make sure you know the combinations to the locks upstairs. Elected officers have combinations. 5) You will probably miss the meeting the night you have treats. If you need to report on something, get a helper. 6) When the treats are complete, you must clean up the hall. Along with help from the other members, make sure that the tables and chairs are put back. 7) You must lock all the cabinets upstairs as well as the hall when you are exiting the building. ATTENDANCE AND RAFFLE WINNERS: As an incentive to those who attend meetings, there is a name drawn at each meeting, and the winner receives a $$ prize. Pizza and drinks will be provided.
